Love this POST!!!! Just another example of why healthy running needs to be about balance. For those of you who have worked with me have heard me say many times that "We don't just live and die by the training plan" It's all about balance. A comprehensive training plan will take into consideration the roles/responsibilities you play outside of running. Then will align these things with your training so you can enjoy other activities you love outside of running.π₯°
I didnβt run on global running day. Yes, running is a huge part of my life and something I am immensely grateful for. But yesterday was also Chloes first birthday. So I chose to be with our family, for the entire day.
In the past I would have had guilt there. I would have seen other photos of runners and been jealous, thought about how I should have and could have squeezed a run in.
This time though, I saw a few photos, and I smiled, happy for those friends, but knowing I made the right choice.
Bailey already enjoys running with me for small chunks, and I would much rather show both my girls running can be part of who we are, but itβs not all of us. We are so much more, and so are you β€οΈ so if you didnβt run yesterday either, it doesnβt mean you are kicked out of the community. You matter just as much....and if we do get kicked out, Iβll be there with you π
