Awesome day of racing at OPA Dragon Boat Festival 2026! 🐉🔥

Catch22 Mixed Blue absolutely SHOWED UP for their opadbf debut, taking 🥈 in the Mixed Crew Division! Everyone’s hard work, growth, and dedication were on full display out on the water. 💙

CATCH22 ROCKIN AT ROCKLAND 🤟🥇🥈🥉

What an action packed day of racing at the New York International Dragon Boat Festival! Catch22 was excited to return, now with crews racing in mixed, open, and women’s divisions. We fought hard bringing home 🥇 in mixed, 🥈in open, and 🥉in women’s! Big thanks to GWN Dragon Boat for organizing such a fun race day at a beautiful local site.

The work doesn’t stop here. It’s back to training as we prepare to represent ourselves at CCWC in Taiwan 🇹🇼

💪💪💪 STARTING THE SEASON STRONG 🥇🥈🥈 

Catch22 showed up strong at IDBR with 4️⃣ crews in our first race of the year. We couldn’t be prouder of what the team accomplished this early in the season:

Premier Women 🥇: Not only first podium at IDBR but first standard GOLD in the books! An amazing milestone for our growing women’s program.

Premier Open 🥈: Race after race, the crew kept building and climbing, ultimately shooting out of the gates and earning a hard-fought silver-medal finish.

Premier Mixed 🥈: Secured a hard-earned silver after every athlete cross-rostered into women’s or open boats, finishing in a photo finish with just 0.02 seconds separating gold and silver.

Mixed Blue : New crew with several paddlers making their dragon boat debut, this group kept gaining momentum all day - toughing their way into Minor A Finals and finishing 11 seconds faster by the final race.

We want to thank for organizing and hosting this incredible weekend!

Our standard premier mixed, standard premier women and small boat premier Open teams will be competing later this summer at CCWC Taiwan! Lots of valuable lessons and experiences learned over the weekend. We can only get better from here on our

Catch22 @ 🔥

Earlier this month, we trekked up to Boston for the annual indoor paddling regatta. Huge thanks to for hosting such an incredible event for the dragonboat community—always a great time competing alongside all the strong teams across the Northeast. Great job to all the Catch paddlers who showed up and absolutely crushed it! We brought the energy, supported each other, and made every race count 💪

Another CCNC in the books!

Without any small boats practices prior to arriving in Sarasota, a brand new coaching staff and two sets of new drummers and steerers who had just learned their jobs months earlier, the team pulled together and delivered.

Small Boat Premier Open

Small Boat Premier Women
500m🥉
200m🥇
2000m🥉

Our premier open small boat swept every race and pulled the fastest times on both the 500m and 200m across all small boat divisions.

As if that wasn’t enough, our ladies and gentlemen on the small boats double rostered into a standard boat and came out 5th overall, securing another berth in the most competitive division at CCNC, Standard Boat Premier Mixed.

With multiple berths earned, we are now in position to send the most athletes to CCWC in Catch22’s history. We look forward to representing the USA in Taiwan next year! 🇺🇸 🇹🇼

Next up on our mid-season recap: Montreal! It was an incredible and humbling experience to witness the awe-inspiring performances from our northern neighbors and to race at the iconic Olympic Basin. 🇨🇦

Montreal gave us an invaluable chance to apply everything we’ve learned so far this season as we adopt a new technique. While we didn’t make it to the podium, we made solid progress putting our revamped tech to the test and syncing up even more as a team.

The race also marked the debut of our new women’s crew jerseys! 💃 Will our men’s crew be able to match this?? The season isn’t over yet… 👀

Speaking of style, our crew also picked up some elite performance sunglasses from , be sure to check them out! UV eye protection has never looked so good. 😎

Big thanks to for such a well run race. It was great seeing our fellow New Yorkers, and ! Way to represent NYC. And always a pleasure seeing our friends and crushing it as well!
