We’re all about keeping it silly, even at nationals.

In a swim-off scenario, most would choose to do a regular 50, repeat of the event, or a coin flip to break the tie. That’s not what 3 men vying for second alternate for the individual 200 freestyle chose.

They all agreed to swim the following, which the officials named the “Disney swim off”:

- 50 "freestyle"
- heads up (Tarzan drill)
- brief-style suit only
- 4 dolphin kicks off the walls
- open turn
- no cap
- no goggles

“Oh, and wouldn’t it be cool if joined?" one of the swimmers asked.

So of course, we had to ask him. And of course, he wanted in 😜
