Generations of ownership, Clark and Mary Lou Hickock picked the beautiful state of North Carolina to retire and are both avid golfers so finding a business in the golf industry in such a beautiful area has been a dream come true. In 2020 during the Covid pandemic Clark & Mary Lou’s oldest son Jason and his family moved to Sapphire North Carolina to supervise the day-to-day operations of the family-owned business. Clark and Mary Lou are both from Texas, Dallas and San Antonio. They have 4 children and 12 grandchildren that live in Texas, North Carolina, and California. Clark graduated from the University of Texas with degrees in business and economics. His entire career has been in the corporate world traveling throughout the United States and around the world buying and selling companies. He ended his corporate career as CEO, so he is definitely enjoying the laid-back life of living in the mountains. Mary Lou graduated from Howard Payne University with a degree in Speech and Hearing Pathology and worked as a Speech Therapist in the public schools for many years before deciding to be a stay at home mom. Jason & Amber Hickock are both born and raised in the central Texas area and moved here from Austin, Texas. They have 4 children, 3 boys & a young daughter. Army Ranger at 1st ranger battalion in Savannah, Georgia where he was honorably discharged in 1997. Jason is an avid golfer and worked at the management level in the automotive industry before making his move to the mountains. Amber earned her online degree in finance, is a wonderful mother, and helps with the office at Appalachian Golf Cars on a full-time basis. We are very fortunate to have knowledgeable employees that have been with Appalachian Golf Cars for many years.
