Rock Ice & Mountain Club

The Rock Ice & Mountain Club serves the climbing and outdoor community of the North San Francisco Bay Area.

We invite speakers to show us there latest adventures at our monthly meetings, are active in climbing stewardship, and organize trips. The Rock Ice & Mountain Club serves the outdoor adventure community of the North San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. It was started in 1994 as a resource to bring like-minded people together. The club organizes trips and campsites for members at local crags, Lake Ta

hoe, Yosemite, Red Rocks, Joshua Tree, and Pinnacles, plus trail work and cleanup days in local parks. Free monthly gatherings are held on the first Tuesday of every month and feature a presentation by inspiring local adventurers, world class athletes, writers, and photographers. The meetings are open to the public and begin at 7:30pm at Round Table Pizza, 2065
Occidental Road, just off Highway 12 in Santa Rosa. Membership is $20 per year for an individual and $25 for a family.

TOMORROW! The Bay Area Climbers Coalition , the Rock Ice & Mountain Club and Napa Valley State Parks are teaming up on June 6 for an Adopt-A-Crag cleanup event on Mount Saint Helena in Robert Louis Stevenson State Park near Calistoga. The event runs from 9 AM to 1 PM. Calistoga Roastery will provide coffee and CalMart will provide lunch. After the cleanup, we plan on climbing and socializing.

TONITE! June 2: Steve Wheeler - Mistakes We Keep Secret

Location: Victory House, Club 300 Room at the Epicenter, 3215 Coffey Lane, Santa Rosa

Date and Time: Tuesday, June 2, 2026 @ 7:30 PM (Social hour at 6:30)

Steve will be sharing personal accidents and close calls in the mountains which led to lessons learned (or relearned). The hope is to emphasize basic safety practices and avoid getting complacent, over confident, or too emotional. We will also leave time for others to share their own experiences.

May 5 - Climbing Meet-Up at Session Climbing

Location: Session Climbing, 965 S A St, Santa Rosa, CA 95404

Date & Time: Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 6 - 9 PM

For our May General Meeting we are having a climbing meet-up at Session Climbing in Santa Rosa, CA.

Session is offering a discount on their day pass entry for Rock Ice & Mountain Club members including rental gear.

If you are not a club member or let your membership lapse, you can sign or renew during the meet-up. There are many benefits of becoming a Rock Ice & Mountain Club member, including a single day pass entry to Session Climbing.

We plan to climb and socialize between 6 - 9 PM.

April 7: Social Gathering at Epicenter

Location: Victory House, Club 300 Room at the Epicenter, 3215 Coffey Lane, Santa Rosa
Date and Time: Tuesday, April 7, 2026 @ 6:30 PM

Since we were unable to secure a presenter for our April monthly general meeting, we have decided to just have a social gathering. We have rented the private bowling lanes next to our meeting room from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. This social gathering is open to everyone and we encourage you to arrive as early as 6:30pm and order a meal and drinks from Victory House. This would also be a great time to explore all that Epicenter .epicenter has to offer.
