H.I.T Class is an hour long conditioning class primarily aimed at improving power, muscular endurance, cardiopulmonary fitness and functional range of motion through the use of many different training methods. Each session will b

egin with a general warm up that will also serve as functional range of motion and core training. The workout for that day will then be explained followed by a more specific warm up suited to the days movements if needed. After a brief rest the high intensity portion of the workout will begin. The goal will generally be to complete as many repetitions of an exercise or sequence of exercises in a given amount of time. There will be some key workouts that will be repeated every few weeks. The results of these will be logged in order to track improvements and to discover any possible deficits that can be addressed through individualized attention. Keeping records of previous workouts will also serve as motivation to achieve personal bests when a workout is repeated. All workouts are scalable to accommodate various levels of ability from novice to competitive athlete. The amount of repetitions completed or weight lifted are only important when comparing that person to his or her prior self. Exercises themselves can also be modified to a certain extent as well without compromising the integrity of the program or the results it achieves.
