4 steps. 2 years. One decision that changed everything. 👇

I started where most of us do - cleaning up my exercise, eating better, working on my sleep and stress management. And it helped... to a point.

But eventually I needed more. So my doctor and I created a 4-step process together, and it’s been the foundation of where I am today.

I’m not sharing every detail here (that’s what the full video is for 🎥), but if you’re in perimenopause or menopause and wondering what your options even are, you need to see this.

30 years in health and fitness taught me how to build a plan. Living through this myself taught me why it actually matters.

Two years ago I was dealing with hot flashes, disrupted sleep, low libido, and gluteal tendinopathy that wouldn’t let up. A conversation with my gynecologist led me to hormone therapy, and I went all in. Today I use an estradiol patch, a progesterone pill, vaginal estrogen, and testosterone cream, and it’s made a real difference for me. I dove into studying menopause and became a certified menopause coaching specialist so I could understand my own body and help other women navigate theirs. Hormone therapy isn’t right for everyone, and the only way to know is an honest conversation with your own provider. Want to see my full routine? DM me “VIDEO” and I’ll send it your way. Have you talked with your doctor about hormone therapy, or is it still on your list of questions to ask?

Fall doesn’t wait for you to be ready. One day it’s lazy mornings and open schedules, and the next you’re back to juggling drop offs, practices, and a calendar that somehow filled itself overnight.

Here’s what I’ve learned after years of coaching women through this exact shift: the ones who feel steady in October aren’t the ones with more willpower. They’re the ones who picked one small thing in September and made it non negotiable, before life got loud again.

Maybe it’s a wake up time you actually stick to. Maybe it’s putting your workouts on the calendar like real appointments. Maybe it’s finally planning meals instead of figuring them out at five o’clock, starving and out of ideas.

You don’t need a whole new routine. You need one thing you’re not willing to skip.

What’s the one thing you’re locking in before the season shifts?

I officially crossed the 365 day threshold last month, and I’m celebrating. That means no cycle for a full year, which makes it official: I’m menopausal.

For the last two years I’ve lived in that unpredictable in-between, wondering if my cycle was coming or gone for good. I’d go months without it, only for it to show up again in full force. As someone who has spent years studying women’s health, perimenopause and menopause, I’ve genuinely been looking forward to this milestone.

That doesn’t mean my body has stopped changing. There are still ups and downs, and I expect there always will be. But I choose to see this as a phase of life worth celebrating, not something to dread.

At my yearly check in, my gynecologist and I talked it through and had a good laugh when she congratulated me on officially being menopausal. It felt like a moment worth marking.

This is a new era, one where women can feel strong, informed, and confident moving through this phase of life instead of quietly enduring it. What worked in one season may not work in the next, and that’s completely normal.

I’m an open book on this, so if you have questions, come talk to me. Women need a village, and for far too long this stage of life has been something we whisper about instead of talk through together. The more we share, the more we all benefit.

All the stuffed pepper flavor, none of the fuss. 🫑💪

This deconstructed stuffed pepper skillet has everything you love about the classic - ground chicken, peppers, marinara, melty mozzarella without the stuffing or baking.

Funny enough, my kids had NO idea they were eating cauliflower rice. 😂 So much flavor packed in that it just disappears - a sneaky-easy way to add extra veggies to the plate.

38g protein per serving and ready in about 30 minutes? Yes please.

Want the full recipe? Drop “SKILLET” in the comments and I’ll send it your way! 👇

With all the lettuce recall news lately, my go-to bagged salad has been benched for a bit. So I made bell pepper nachos, loaded up with protein and veggies in every bite.

Simple swaps like this are exactly why I love helping clients find what works for their season of life, recall scares and all.

What’s your bagged salad backup plan these days?

You’re eating “healthy” — so why does nothing seem to be working? 🤔

Sometimes it’s the small stuff we’re not even paying attention to. A little of this, a dash of that and before we know it, those extras are quietly adding up and getting in the way of our goals.

That’s where the ingredient list comes in. You might be reading the calorie count, but that’s only part of the story. 👀

Here I’m walking you through how to actually read a food label and why knowing what’s really in your food is one of the most powerful things you can do to support your goals. When you’re informed, you can make choices that work for you, not against you.

Healthy Tip of the Day: Hydration 💦

Aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily and here’s why it matters more than you think.

Your body is made up of 70 to 80% water. When you’re well hydrated, you flush toxins, feel fuller, beat cravings, and support real fat loss. It’s one of the simplest tools you have.

Try these to make it stick:

💦 Start before coffee. The first thing you drink is what you crave more of, so make it water.

💦 Carry your favorite water bottle everywhere and refill it all day.

💦 Pour 64 oz into a pitcher in the morning and make it your mission to finish it.

💦 Set water bottles on your counter as a visual reminder. Done when they’re empty.

💦 Sometimes the cup makes all the difference. Find one you actually love.

💦 Prefer a straw? Use one. Whatever helps you drink more.

💦 Add some flavor. Try orange and mango, raspberry and lime, or lemon and cucumber slices in a chilled pitcher.

Small habit, big results. 💦

2,000 extra steps a day sounds intimidating until you realize you're probably closer than you think.

Parking a little farther. Walking during a phone call. A quick loop around the block after lunch. These aren't big lifestyle changes. They're tiny shifts that add up to real results over time.

And for women over 40, consistent daily movement is one of the most powerful things you can do for your metabolism, your energy, and your mood. Not intense exercise. Just more movement woven into your day.

I put together 5 simple strategies that actually work for busy women. No gym required. No big time commitment. Just smarter choices with the time you already have.

👇 Save this post for when you need a nudge and drop a comment telling me which one you're going to try first. I'd love to hear!
