Beach courts & fields, stand-up paddleboard rentals, plus a splash pad and playground are available to the public year-round. There are free cultural programs, including tours of the Marion Davies Guest House, art gallery exhibits, Audubon Society bird walks, and Beach=Culture concerts, readings, and more. Annual community events, such as the popular "Cardboard Yacht Regatta" and "Polar Bear Swim"

Private Events:
Historic Hollywood glamour meets modern Southern California style to create an event space like no other. Flexible spaces and ocean breezes provide the perfect setting for your next meeting or celebration. Spaces vary in size and accommodate groups as intimate as 10, to elaborate celebrations for 400 or more when combining indoor and outdoor spaces. The Beach House is also available for commercial film and photo shoots.

Labor Day Weekend Pool Hours 🏊
Thursday | 12PM–6PM
Friday–Monday | 10AM–6PM

🎟️ Pool passes go on sale at Guest Services one hour before opening and are first come, first served.

Not ready to say goodbye to pool season? Neither are we! Starting after Labor Day, the pool will remain open Saturdays & Sundays from 11AM–5PM.

And while weekday swimming is taking a break, the Beach House isn't! Our Splash Pad, playground, Courtyard, View Deck, beach access, and other outdoor amenities remain open daily.

Make the most of the long weekend and we'll see you by the pool! ☀️🌊

Starting Tuesday, September 8, our Yoga at the Beach House classes are moving a little earlier! Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays year-round from 9:30AM–10:30AM for an all-levels morning practice with fresh ocean air and the Pacific in front of you.

Build strength, improve flexibility, and start your morning feeling refreshed.

One more summer night by the pool... don’t miss it! 🌊

Our pop-up Sunset Swim is happening tomorrow, Friday, August 28 from 6PM–9PM! Join us for an adults-only evening around our historic pool with floaties, s’mores, popcorn, and sunset views.

🎟️ Since this is a pop-up, Sunset Swim passes will only be available at the Guest Services window beginning at 9AM tomorrow. There is no online registration, and your entire party must be present to purchase wristbands.

💦 Making a whole pool day out of it? Regular pool passes also go on sale at 9AM, with pool hours from 10AM–6PM. Keep your daytime pool wristband and get 50% off your Sunset Swim admission!

Sunset Swim passes are subject to pool deck capacity. If we sell out, we’ll open a waitlist and text you if space becomes available.

🌊 Cool off at the Splash Pad, relax in the Courtyard or View Deck, explore our current art exhibition, and enjoy the grounds.

🛝 Hit the playground, play a game on the sports courts, or head straight to the sand with direct beach access.

Step inside the Marion Davies Guest House and discover stories from the Beach House past, when this stretch of Santa Monica coastline was home to an extravagant oceanfront estate built by William Randolph Hearst for actress Marion Davies. With docents from the Santa Monica Conservancy as your guides, explore the Guest House and hear stories of Marion, Hollywood history, and the seaside estate that once welcomed some of the biggest names of the era.

🌅 Our final scheduled Sunset Swim of the summer is almost here... and pre-purchased passes are officially SOLD OUT!

Didn't grab a pass? Don't count yourself out! Limited walk-ins will be available while capacity allows. We encourage everyone to arrive between 5PM–6PM to grab your wristband early and kick off the evening with Happy Hour at Back on the Beach Café.

🍹 Starting at 6PM, bring your Happy Hour drink down to the pool! Limited bar service will also be available poolside until last call at 8:30PM.
🍴 Hungry? Order from Back on the Beach Café using the QR code at the pool and pick up your food right on the pool deck. Food orders close at 7:30PM.

And of course, we'll have complimentary s'mores, popcorn, pool floaties, and one more stunning summer sunset waiting for you!

Let's make the last Sunset Picnic of the season the biggest yet! 🌅

Join us this Thursday from 5PM–8PM for an evening of good music, ocean views, hands-on activities, and plenty of time to relax with your community. Pack your favorite picnic and enjoy live music by the talented Caro Pierotto, kite flying, lanyard making, and more! Community Collage will also be back with their interactive photobooth activity, plus we'll have complimentary s’mores while supplies last.

Whether you're coming with friends, bringing the whole family, or joining us solo, find a spot and enjoy one big beachy picnic as the sun goes down.

What a night at Q***r Surf: ART SPLASH! 🏳️‍🌈🌊

The Beach House was overflowing with art, music, movement, and q***r joy as we came together for an evening celebrating the non-binary, transgender, and q***r community by the sea.

A huge thank you to Q***r Surf for bringing ART SPLASH back to the Beach House for its second year, and to every artist, performer, DJ, and community partner who poured their creativity and care into the evening. From the Q***r Surf Community Visual Art Show and creating with Lavender Art Club to live performances and splashing around with DJ Nomad, there was so much to experience.

And to everyone who came out to swim, dance, make art, cheer on the performers, explore the gallery, or simply be together: THANK YOU! You made this celebration what it was. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Sunset Swim returns this Friday, Aug 7, and with only two events left this season (Aug 7 & Aug 21), now's the time to join us for one of our favorite adults-only summer traditions.
