A giant from the wilds of Siberia.

An eight-foot Siberian brown bear šŸ» is exceptional. This absolute giant crossed the tape at 10 feet-one of the largest bears Iā€™ve ever had the privilege of hunting.

This was one of many epic adventures Iā€™ve enjoyed in Russia, a country I consider one of the great hunting destinations on the planet. Vast wilderness, incredible diversity of wildlife, and some truly remarkable hunting experiences.

lā€™ve also been fortunate to see firsthand how well-managed hunting can give wildlife real value and create incentives to protect both the animals and the wild places they depend on.

A huge thank you to my good friend Alexei of Summits of Russia for putting together another unforgettable adventure. Weā€™ve shared some incredible experiences, and I know there are many more still ahead.

A Look Back ā€” Alaskaā€™s Wild Mountains šŸ”ļø

Some hunts stay with you forever. Deep in the rugged mountains of Alaska-one of Americaā€™s last true frontiersā€”this Dall sheep hunt tested us every step of the way.

Days of climbing, gaining and losing elevation, and pushing through country too rugged for horses eventually brought us into a deep canyon holding five mature rams. When the opportunity finally came, a long, accurate shot brought an unforgettable hunt to its conclusion.

This magnificent Dall ram šŸ became one of the pillars of my Grand Slam of North American wild sheep, but the trophy is only part of what I remember. he wild country, the difficulty, the team effort, and the adventure are what remain.

TIMELESS. IMMORTAL. LEGENDARY.

Few entertainers ever had the ability to transcend generations and bring so much joy to people from so many different walks of life. Dolly was one of them. Her music had a way of bringing people together. šŸŽµ

She also never forgot the men and women serving our country, using her music and her platform to bring a little bit of home to American troops far away. That love of country šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø and appreciation for those who serve was another part of what made her so special.

On a personal note, her music was part of the soundtrack at my wedding, including one of my all-time favorites, Islands in the Stream, with her partner in crime, Kenny Rogers. Those songs hold memories that will never fade.

Dolly will be deeply missed, but that is the beautiful thing about truly great musicā€”it lives forever. I can share her songs with my daughters, and one day they can share them with their children.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the joy, the memories, and for being such a special light in this world. šŸ™

I started A Hunterā€™s Quest to share the importance of hunting as a tool of conservation-but its purpose has always reached beyond hunting.

It is about sharing stories that remind us what makes America exceptionalā€” stories of character, opportunity, perseverance, and the belief that out of many, we are one.

When I heard Shiyazh Pete speak, his humility, pride in his Navajo people, gratitude, and message of unity and brotherhood stood out.

I shared his words yesterday, and the response has been incredible. People from every background and walk of life have responded positively-and, just as importantly, thousands have shared his message with others. šŸ™

At a time when so much attention is focused on our differences, Shiyazh reminded us that we are all part of the same American story.

I believe his journey is only beginning. There is an old soul and a special spirit in this young man.

This is America at its best. Different stories. Different backgrounds. One country. One flag.

And to everyone who commented, reached out, and especially shared this message-thank you. Every share carries forward a simple truth worth remembering: There is far more that unites us than divides us. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

This is bigger than football. šŸˆ

Iā€™m not a Cowboys fan, but today I tip my hat to the Dallas Cowboys organization for giving Shizo Pete an opportunity-and to this young man for what he is doing with it.

As the first Navajo player ever to sign an NFL contract, he carries something far greater than a jersey. He carries the pride of the Navajo Nation, the hopes of young people who can look at him and see what is possible, and a story that reaches far beyond any tribe or boundary.

His story is an American story. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

America is at its best when opportunity meets determination-when where you come from does not define how far you can go, but becomes part of the strength you carry with you.

Listen to this young man speak in that locker room. There is humility, gratitude, pride in his people, and an ability to bring people together. At a time when we could use more of that, Shizo Pete reminds us that we have far more in common than what separates us.

Through A Hunterā€™s Quest, Iā€™ve had the great privilege of spending time with and hunting alongside many Native American tribes, including the Navajo Nation. Iā€™ve come to know them as strong, proud and remarkable people-and this young man represents them exceptionally well.

The Navajo Nation should be incredibly proud. And so should America.

I hope his football journey is only beginning-because this is a young man with the opportunity to make an impact far beyond the game.

Five feet. A full charge. One shot. And both of my daughters were there to witness it.

Iā€™ve faced charging animals before, but having a big Central California boar šŸ— coming straight at me from less than 15 yards-and stopping him at less than five feet-made this one of the most intense finishes to a hog hunt I can remember.

But what made it unforgettable wasnā€™t the charge. It was who was there with me.

For years, Iā€™ve wanted both of my daughters beside me on my favorite hunt, chasing wild hogs through the rolling hills of Central California at the Twisselman Ranch. Between school, sports, busy schedules-and getting two teenage girls up at 3:30 in the morning during summerā€”it had never quite come together.

This time, it did.

At first light, a lone mature boar crested a hill more than 300 yards away. With only seconds before he disappeared, a quick shot found its mark.

When we crested the hill, he was still very much alive. At less than 15 yards, we made eye contact-and he charged. Experience took over. I had another round ready, and at less than five feet, the final shot dropped him in his tracks.

lā€™ve taken some incredible boars on these hills, but this one will always stand apart.

Not because of the charge.

Because when it was over, I looked up and both of my daughters were right there with me. ā¤ļø

Anticosti Islandā€”one of the truly special places my quest to hunt the species of North America has taken me.

Early season. Bucks in velvet. Heat, relentless rain, and deer that simply werenā€™t moving. Nothing about this hunt came easy. But persistence has a way of creating opportunity.

Thanks to my guide Joe, who put in one hell of an effort, we stayed focused, kept pushing, and when our opportunity finally came, we made some magic happen. A true team effort.

šŸ¦Œ This deer brings me one step closer to an extraordinary personal milestone-50 species in North America-but the experience meant just as much as the accomplishment.

Anticosti is also a remarkable conservation story. A massive deer population has thrived here, with regulated hunting playing an important role in managing the herd and sustaining the resource. Itā€™s another powerful example of what responsible hunting can contribute to wildlife conservation.

The quest continues-and Iā€™m grateful it brought me to Anticosti. šŸ™

šŸšØ Catalinaā€™s deer are at a critical crossroads.

šŸ¦Œ For more than a century, mule deer have been part of Catalina Island. They are valued by the local community, enjoyed by generations of visitors, and have been successfully managed through regulated hunting. Management is conservation. Eradication is not the only answer.

Now, with a critical court date approaching early next month, we may be facing one of the last opportunities to stop a plan that would eliminate the entire herd.

At A Hunterā€™s Quest, Iā€™ve always believed conservation means protecting wildlife while managing it responsibly for future generations. Catalinaā€™s deer deserve that opportunity-not eradication.

This is the time to make your voice heard. Help stand up for Catalinaā€™s deer.

Some hunts stay with you forever. This was one of them. šŸ¦Œ

Sonora remains one of the great places where a truly giant, free-ranging mule deer can still emerge from the desert. Hunting here is unlike anywhere else-covering hundreds of miles from a high rack above a pickup, glassing over the thick Sonoran brush where these old giants disappear. I was fortunate to share this hunt with my good friend and guide Manny, who played an important role in putting me in position when the moment finally came.

Late one evening, this giant suddenly exploded through the brush. His antlers were so incredibly wide they seemed to fight the desert itself as he ran. I wasnā€™t sure my first shot connected, and with only seconds before he disappeared, I had one more opportunityā€”a pressure-filled shot on the run.

Pushing 40 inches wide, this magnificent buck remains one of the widest free-ranging mule deer ever to come out of Sonora. Having been fortunate to hunt several dozen big mule deer-a true passion of mine-this one will always stand apart. Today he stands as a full mount in my trophy room, and even after all these years, those antlers just donā€™t look real.

Hunting has given these incredible animals tremendous value to Sonoraā€™s ranches, creating an incentive to protect and improve the habitat that allows giants like this to thrive. Opportunities for truly exceptional free-range mule deer are becoming increasingly rare, making moments like this even more meaningful.

Anticosti Island had been on my list for a long time-and it made me earn every bit of this experience.

Hunting early season meant the deer were still in velvet. With an estimated 200,000 deer on the island, I never imagined finding a good buck would become such a challenge. But hunting has a way of humbling you. A heat wave combined with days of steady rain created about the worst conditions we could have asked for.

For four or five days, it was 3:00-3:30 a.m. wake-ups, daylight by 4:15, and long days pushing until nearly 9 at night. We covered a tremendous amount of ground, but the deer simply werenā€™t moving.

My guide had seen a big buck weeks earlier near one massive field, and despite having no luck there, we kept coming back.

Then came the final morning.

The temperature finally dropped, and tucked into a far corner of that wet, swampy field, there he was with a couple of other bucks. After everything weā€™d put into the hunt, a long shot-with a rifle that wasnā€™t even my own-connected.

A fitting ending and a reminder of what I love about hunting different species in incredible places: choose the destination, make the plan, embrace the challenge, and find a way to make it happen.
