Join us for Wednesday night Tango with an all levels class followed by practice & dancing! Our class is a fun lighthearted intro for beginners where we will cover fundamental tango principles surrounding a different Tango step each week as well as Tango musicality, connection, & how to navigate the Tango dance floor. 7-8PM: Pre-Milonga Lesson followed by Milonga 8-Midnight + Performance with Jaimes & Christa Rodriguez!
SATURDAY JUNE 20TH
2:30-3:45pm: Changing the Direction of Tango: The most useful Changes of Direction made accessible while opening thedoor to the modern era of Tango.
4:00-5:15pm: Complex Cambios and Cadencias: Mind-bending optical illusions that not only add tremendous kinetic flavor to the dance, but continue to perplex the most advanced tango intellects.
SUNDAY JUNE 21ST
1:00-2:15pm: Ganchos: Impossible timing made possible through increased awareness of both axis and the free leg of one’s partner.
2:20-3:35pm: Colgadas: The decades old optical illusion that stormed the world of Tango at the end of the 90’s.
3:45-5:00pm: Volcadas: The tying together of the classic “apilado” aesthetic with modern fluidity and communication.
