Morning, Undisputedly Strong Athletes!

Here are some quick clear ups for next weekend and the rules for bench press.

REGISTRATION CLOSES JULY 22ND AT 9PM

For event 1, all RX or weighted divisions are jumping over a 36 inch fence. Not the yoke.

Bench rules are:
* The lifter must lie on his/her back with shoulders and buttocks in contact with the flat bench surface.
* The lifter’s hands may grip the bar with a “thumbs around” grip.
* The lifter’s shoes must be in contact with the floor. This position shall be maintained throughout the attempt.
* The head may rise off the bench or move during the performance of the lift.
* To achieve firm footing, the lifter may use flat surfaced bumper plates to build up the surface of the platform.
* The spacing of the hands shall not exceed 81 centimeters between the forefingers. In other words, the index finger must completely cover the 81 cm. ring.
* After receiving the bar at arm’s length, the lifter shall lower the bar to his/her chest and await the judges signal.
* The signal shall be the command: “PRESS” to press when the bar is motionless on the chest.
* After the signal to commence the lift has been given, the bar is pressed upwards to straight arm’s length and held motionless until the audible command "RACK" is given.

Burpee over yoke is changing to, burpee over 36inch fence for all divisions.

Also, floater for all divisions.

Safety Bar Box squat is changing to, Max Bench Press. 3 attempts. 5 minute cap.

This year we are expanding our "hybridized" model, with Rx, scaled teams and Individual competitors with only 2 weight classes! Expect these events to test your strengths and your weaknesses.

Chest to deck on burpees, scale over yoke is tricky. Practice this! No flipping over yoke. Yoke height has to be at least 6 inches above floor when carrying.
