Bill was an extraordinary person, a multi time Powerlifting world champion and the greatest mentor I have had. Even though he was always wrong about politics he was a beyond smart person.
Bill is the reason why I opened Overload gym and also the reason why we have powerlifting in the state of NM. I will miss you my friend! Sooner or later we will be lifting together again. RIP my very good friend!

Location: Overload Gym Santa Fe Meet Date: July 27, 2024 Meet Directors: Vy Tran Zunker & Wes Zunker General meet info email will be sending out around 2-month out to lifters who signed up. This will be a single platform meet with potentially two sessions, any currently registered USA Powerlifting member is eligible to compete in this event. There are no pre-qualifications to compete in this event. 1. USAPL Membership (required): USAPL Cards can be purchased online at www.usapowerlifting.com. All lifters must have been drug-free for the past thirty-six (36) months. Awards will be given to 1st – 3rd in each age and weigh division in powerlifting, bench press, and deadlift. Special awards will be given to best lifters and to teams.

We are very excited to host the 2024 Powerlifting America NM State championship on April 6th and 7th. We will have professional live streaming, comp racks to warm up, best lifter trophy, amazing medals and for first time strongest squat, bench and deadlift trophies too!! We will do this by formula. Overload Gym is excited to announce our first Powerlifting Seminar featuring our honored guest IPF World Champion and 2023 SBD Sheffield Champion Jesus Olivares taking place on December 8th, 2023.

Jesus Olivares is the reigning 3-time IPF Classic Open 120+kg World Champion. Jesus is also the champion of the Inaugural SBD Sheffield Invitational where he squatted 470kg/1,036.2lbs benched 272.5kg/600.8lbs and deadlifted 410kg/903.9 lbs to record a total of 1,152.5kg/2,540.8lbs which is the highest raw total in the history of powerlifting regardless of drug testing.

5:00 pm to 5:45 pm: Introduction, Background, Training Methodology, and what drives him
5:45 pm to 6:30 pm: Q&A Session
6:30 pm to 8:00 pm: Demonstration (Watch the strongest man on the earth train)

Our Girls Only Powerbuilding class will combine the two training methods: powerlifting and bodybuilding. It blends the raw strength-building potential of powerlifting with the quest for visual enhancement that characterizes bodybuilding. The 90 minute Powerbuilding class will take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM. The monthly class cost is $349 (the price includes gym membership), please DM us if you are interested in taking the class. There are only 4 spots available.

Great performance by all our athletes at Powerlifting America NM State championship! The family is growing , we have over 30 athletes that compete in Powerlifting and over 100 amazing athletes that train at our gym! Congrats to everyone! We will continue demolishing PRs in 2023!
