with the contributions from these folks & organizations, as well as individual donors, fundraising events, merch sales, and our afterparty, we raised over $20,000 this year!
where does this money go? 🧐
⭐ the majority goes to paying our performers! each band is paid $75-150 for a full set depending on how many band members they have 🧡
⭐ covering the cost of supplies & rentals! portapotties, sound equipment, merch, food & beverage for our performers and volunteers, etc. 💛
⭐ paying land tax! we set aside 10% of our budget to go towards paying a land tax to a local Indigenous organization. this year, our land tax is going to 💚
⭐ the remaining funding is divided up among our organizers as (very) small stipends for the many many hours they spend organizing! 💜
