QuickSilver Santa Cruz A holistic swimming approach to maximize performance and help enhance community health. QuickSilver Swimming is the premier USA Swimming team in Santa Cruz.

We have training sites throughout San Jose and Santa Cruz County. In 2017, we were awarded the Bronze Medal Club of Excellence from USA Swimming; in recognition of our success developing swimmers into elite athletes. Our swimmers have competed at the Olympic Trials, Nationals, and Junior Nationals. In 2017 we had eleven Santa Cruz County swimmers qualify for Far Westerns--one of the fastest age-gr

oup swim meets in the nation--and our team took second place overall. We believe that swimming success starts with a strong foundation. That is why we take pride in offering high level stroke development and swim instruction to children starting at five years old. We also believe that having a water-safe child is vital to living near the Monterey Bay, which is why we offer junior lifeguard prep classes, stroke development and swim lessons to make your child feel more confident in the water.

Our QSS-SC swimmers delivered outstanding performances all weekend long! 💪🔥

✨ Highlights:
• Craig achieved personal bests in the 50 Free, 100 Fly, and placed in most of his events
• Clark earned 🥉 3rd place in the 50 Fly and 4th place in the 50 Free
• Maddux Bailey secured 🥉 3rd place in both the 50 Fly and 50 Back, plus personal bests in the 100 Back and 50 Free
• Mateo Rosales placed 20th in the 50 Fly
• Gavin Vannerus finished 7th in the 50 Free

Big congratulations to Craig Apuada for earning the 11-year-old Boys High Point Award at the 2026 Spring Age Group Championships!

Craig delivered an outstanding performance, placing mostly first and second across his events. He also achieved an impressive drop in his 100 Free, finishing at 54.18 seconds—sealing his overall win in his age group.
