We were in the middle of desert of nothing and we kept seeing a property ahead that had a bunch of palm trees and I thought it was like a nursery but turns out it was a special kind of palm tree.. it's called a date palm
Farmers wrap date clusters in mesh or netting bags to protect ripening fruit from birds, insects, and to catch any dates that fall early
They say between August and November they will produce over a million dates
