Wm S Hart Baseball and Softball is a non profit organization founded in 1954 to support the youth of the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. We offer a Fall instructional league that runs from September through early December. Registration for "Fall Ball" typically opens in July. Spring leagues are traditionally more competitive. However, the focus is always instructional. Spring leagues do keep score and standings as well as offer play offs (excluding Shetland and Filly). Spring online registration opens in September and runs through December 30th. Walk-in registration is an option for both Fall and Spring during try outs. We now offer club leagues in the spring and fall. Fall leagues are from 8U up to 60/90 while Spring club leagues are currently for Bronco (11/12U) up to C**t 60/90. For details or to register your team, contact Mike Eberle [email protected]

We often get field rental requests. These are considered on a case by case basis. Please contact Mike Eberle [email protected]

Partnership with tournament organizers will also be considered individually. For more information on this, contact Blaise Cunningham [email protected]

⚾️ HART HISTORY: THE FLAG 🇺🇸

Have you ever stopped to really look at the flag?

It may be one of the most unique pieces at the William S. Hart complex, but there’s a pretty special story behind it.

The flag is made entirely from signed baseballs and softballs, collected as part of a fundraiser for our league. What started as hundreds of individual balls, each carrying its own signature and story, eventually became something truly special.

About 8 years ago, Michael Eberle took those balls and turned them into this incredible masterpiece—a one-of-a-kind American flag that has become a focal point of our complex.

But creating it was only half the job. Getting this massive piece of artwork from point A to point B—and safely into place—was another story!

Maggie Blaha and her husband, David, came to the rescue, bringing their truck equipped with a mounted crane to help deliver and install the flag. With a lot of planning, teamwork and probably a few deep breaths, this beautiful piece found its permanent home at Hart.

Today, thousands of players, families and visitors walk past it every season. Many probably don’t realize that they’re walking past a piece of Hart history.

It isn’t just a flag made of baseballs and softballs.

It’s a reminder of the players, families, volunteers and supporters who have helped build William S. Hart over the years. ❤️⚾️🥎🇺🇸

Eight years later, it still stands proudly—and we think that’s worth remembering.

🚒🔥 WHEN OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS HELP, THEY SHOW UP! 🔥🚒

We had a fire break out in the wash behind the William S. Hart Complex, and it didn’t take long for the Los Angeles County Fire Department to jump into action.

As you’ll see in this incredible video, fire trucks came rolling through our complex and our local firefighters immediately went to work getting the situation under control. Their quick response, professionalism, and dedication to keeping our community safe is something we are incredibly grateful for. ❤️

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of the men and women of the Los Angeles County Fire Department who responded and put themselves in harm’s way to protect our community. We appreciate you more than you know! 👏🚒

And a special shout-out to our own Skylar Tobey for capturing this amazing footage so we could share a glimpse of these heroes in action.

We’re proud to be part of a community where, when something happens, people step up and help.

❤️🚒 Thank you, L.A. County Fire! 🚒❤️

⚾ We need YOU! 🐴

Hart Baseball & Softball is currently at max capacity, with 30+ players on our waitlist. The only way to get more kids on the field this fall is by adding more volunteer Mustang Managers!

You don’t have to be a professional coach—just someone who wants to make a difference in a young athlete’s life. Fall Ball is instructional, fun, and a great way to get started. Hart provides umpires, practice fields, and support throughout the season.

💙 If your child is on the waitlist and you volunteer to manage a team, your player and 11 others will be moved off the waitlist and onto the field!

Interested or have questions? Contact Julie Miller at [email protected].

🏆 Help us give more kids the opportunity to play the game they love. Step up. Lead a team. Make a difference.

What a summer for Hart 9U!

This group put together a run that won’t be forgotten, finishing 3rd out of 16 teams at the Super Regionals in Camarillo—the furthest any Hart 9U team has advanced in over 20 years.

After dropping the first game of the tournament, these boys had their backs against the wall and responded the only way they knew how—by competing. They battled through five straight win-or-go-home games before coming up just one win short of advancing.

The scoreboard won’t tell the whole story. This team showed resilience, toughness, and heart every step of the way. They represented Hart Baseball with pride and gave everything they had until the final out.

What a summer. What a group of players, coaches, and families. Way to go Hart 9U!!

📱⚾️ A message these boys will never forget.

As our Hart Red 6U team gets ready to represent Hart Baseball at the PONY Shetland World Series, they received an incredible surprise—a special video message from Hart alum and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow.

Tyler shared words of encouragement, reminding the team to enjoy every inning, play for each other, and soak in this unforgettable experience.

Moments like these are what Hart Baseball is all about—building memories, inspiring the next generation, and staying connected through the love of the game.

A huge thank you to Tyler for taking the time to make our players feel so special. Your support means more than you know.

Good luck, Hart Red 6U! We’re all cheering you on as you take the field on baseball’s biggest stage. ❤️🤍💙

One Team. One Family. One Hart.

Some people retire from serving their community. Others simply find a new way to serve. ❤️⚾️

After nearly 30 years with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Coach Pat Downs continues to make a difference—this time on the baseball field.

ABC7 recently recognized Coach Pat for his dedication to our community, highlighting the incredible impact he continues to have through youth baseball. While the recognition is well deserved, those of us at Hart Baseball have been fortunate enough to witness that impact every day.

Coach Pat’s commitment goes far beyond teaching the game. He mentors, encourages, and leads with integrity, helping shape confident, respectful, and resilient young athletes. His passion for our players and their families is evident in everything he does, and his influence reaches far beyond the final out.

Coach Pat, thank you for your years of service, your leadership, and your unwavering commitment to Hart Baseball. We are incredibly grateful to call you our coach, mentor, and friend.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you to ABC7 for sharing Coach Pat’s story with the community.

One Team. One Family. One Hart. ❤️🤍💙
