"My child is too young for swimming lessons."

Wrong.

Many parents believe children should wait until they are older before learning to swim.

The truth?

Children can begin building water familiarity and safety skills much earlier than most people realize.

Early exposure often helps children become more comfortable around water and develop confidence gradually.

Small steps today can create safer swimmers tomorrow.

Bringing a plastic bag to your swim lesson is a simple way to store wet swim clothes after class. It helps keep the rest of your bag dry and makes packing up after time in the pool much easier.

The Biggest Swimming Mistake Most Parents Don't Know They're Making !

Many parents wait until summer to start swimming lessons.

But swimming is not a summer activity.

It's a life-saving skill .

When children practice year-round, they often:
1. Build confidence faster
2. Develop stronger swimming skills
3. Become more comfortable in water
4. Waiting months can mean missing valuable learning time.
5. Small lessons today can create big results later.

Your child doesn't need to become a champion swimmer.

They need to become a safer swimmer.

Children who practice consistently throughout the year often gain confidence faster, improve their skills steadily, and become more comfortable in the water.

The best time to build water safety is before it's needed.

Has your child started swim lessons yet?

Tell us their age in the comments.

🏊‍♂️ Take swimming skills to the next level!

Our Intermediate classes focus on building stronger technique in the water while introducing and refining the four competitive strokes.

- Intermediate 1 helps strengthen freestyle and backstroke while beginning breaststroke with the breaststroke kick. Water safety skills continue to be reinforced along the way.
- Intermediate 2 builds on those foundations by refining freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke while introducing butterfly through the dolphin kick. Endurance and self rescue stamina continue to grow.
- Intermediate 3 focuses on refining all four strokes through drills that improve technique, strength, and overall swimming ability.

S.A.F.E.R. Swimmer Promise Step 10: Exit Safely🛟

Knowing how to exit the pool safely is the final step in completing a full self-rescue.

This skill focuses on reaching the wall and climbing out of the water with control, ensuring a person can fully remove themselves from the pool when needed. Mastering this step reinforces confidence and safer habits in and around the water.

The #1 reason kids struggle in swim lessons has nothing to do with swimming.

Most parents think it's coordination.

It's not.

It's fear.

When kids feel safe, they learn faster.

When they gain confidence, everything changes.

At SafeSplash, we focus on helping children feel comfortable in the water first.

Because confidence creates capable swimmers.

Every swimmer starts with one brave step. 💙

Emergencies around water happen quickly. Staying prepared is an important part of staying safe. The National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) highlights emergency readiness as a key layer of protection for families around water.

Start by making sure help can be reached quickly. Keep a phone near the pool so 911 can be called immediately if needed. It’s also important that adults and caregivers know CPR with rescue breaths, since immediate action can make a critical difference in a water emergency.

Having rescue equipment, a first aid kit, and posted CPR instructions nearby can also help ensure the right tools and information are available when every second counts. Another important reminder: if a child is missing, check the water first and call 911 right away.

These simple steps can make a life-saving difference.
