PLAYER HIGHLIGHT: CHRISTOPHER HAYNES ⭐️

Coach Nana shares: “Chris is one of the kindest young human beings I’ve ever coached. Integrity and character matter most, and he lives both with humility and grace. I push him because he tells me he wants to play professionally, so I remind him to compare himself to the best players his age — here and abroad. He learns quickly, applies everything in games, and his quality with both feet is rare. He’s ready, and we’ll hear his name on a big stage soon.”

His hard work led to a major milestone: Chris has been selected for the U-13 Homegrown IMG Soccer Academy, beginning his transition in January 2026. IMG is one of the nation’s premier development programs — a place where top student-athletes live, study, and train in a professional-style environment designed to prepare them for college, national teams, and pro pathways.

As Chris steps into this next chapter, our entire Legends Futbol Academy family is extremely proud of him. We send him off with all our love, support, and best wishes.

From Lompoc AYSO to IMG Academy, Chris’s story is one of discipline, resilience, and quiet confidence — a journey still being written.

PLAYER HIGHLIGHT: CHRISTOPHER HAYNES ⭐️

Chris’s journey started in Lompoc AYSO, where simple weekend games grew into a deep love for soccer. That passion drove him to push beyond local fields and chase a higher level of the game.

He made the leap to Legends Futbol Academy with a 45-minute daily commute from Lompoc to Santa Barbara — often doing homework in the car — and rose to every challenge. Stronger competition, tougher sessions, and bigger expectations only pushed him to train harder, play smarter, and lead with quiet confidence.

His dedication soon reached far beyond club play. Chris earned multiple invitations to CalSouth PRO+ ODP camps and trials, ultimately securing a spot on the 2024 Regional ODP Team, one of youth soccer’s top honors. With Legends FA, he helped deliver back-to-back championships, including the Champions of Champions Invitational, and a CalSouth State Semi-Final run. He returned again for 2025 ODP — always hungry for more.

Off the field, Chris brings the same discipline to his academics, earning a spot on the Dean’s List while balancing a demanding training schedule.

Join us in Welcoming Coach Sycamore! 💪

Growing up playing in Sol Cal across Oxnard and Newbury Park, Sycamore developed a deep love for the game and the position that often goes unnoticed — the goalkeeper. Coach Sycamore's playing journey took him through two years at Santa Barbara City College, one year at Fisher College in Boston, and one year competing at the NCAA Division II level with the University of Hawaii Hilo.

Throughout his career, Coach Sycamore often felt goalkeepers didn’t receive the focused attention they deserved during training. That experience shaped his mission as a coach — to create an environment where young goalkeepers feel valued, confident, and empowered to learn and grow. According to Coach Sycamore, "my goal is to help each player develop not only their technical skills but also the mindset, discipline, and resilience that define great goalkeepers both on and off the field."

We're very honored to have him join our LEGENDS soccer family as a coaching staff and are excited for the journey ahead!
