Santa Barbara City College Dance

Santa Barbara City College Dance SBCC offers dance courses in the PE department. Courses offered choreography, dance company, dance We equally value all dance forms, levels and styles.

Santa Barbara City College dance program is dedicated to serving the community as a whole and is responsive to the diversity of that community. We provide education for those with varying goals- either dance movement as part of a general education, health and well being, and/or dance as a primary or secondary career. Our dance ensemble is a 16 member performance based and touring ensemble. We offe

r intermediate/advanced dancers the opportunity to perform and travel as a pre-professional dance company. We perform on campus, in and around Santa Barbara and the Southern California area. Our ensemble is 1 of 14 out of 125 submission to present work at the McCallum Choreography Festival. We are an outreach based group available for lecture demonstrations in elementary, middle, high school and community colleges and choreography festivals. Each year the company features works by faculty, guest and student choreographers.
