Yesterday’s elopement wedding ceremony included readings by loved ones and this amazing couples’s love story. ♥️

It ended when they jumped the broom, a wedding tradition born of enslaved African Americans, symbolizing their entrance into the new life they will create together. As they jump over the broom they sweep their past behind and jump fully into their new life together, forever, as one.

Grateful to share this sweet & heartfelt text from yesterday’s elopement!💖

Hi Nanette, just wanted to drop a note to express our appreciation. They were so happy yesterday. I saw it at the ceremony, and later throughout the day while we went around taking photos.
They were both were nervous in the morning, but I feel they connected with you once we met, and were moved by the words you wrote. V. commented how she felt less shy and nervous after talking with you. J. expressed how much she felt you added to the special day and how happy she was to have you join us.

So, thank you for that. My heart is filled with joy thinking about yesterday and the look on their faces, the smiling, and laughing. Thank you so much Nanette.
