DIMITAR Tennis Academy update - Corona Virus Response
Dear Parents and Players,
We wanted to keep everyone informed of what we are doing at DIMITAR Tennis Academy to make sure our students are safe during these uncertain times. As an Academy, we are consistently sanitizing all of our equipment (Demo racquets, ball carts, ball mowers, ball tubes, balls, benches, cones, etc) door handles, WC cards, pens, seating areas and all surfaces on and off the courts. In addition , there's hand sanitizing lotions on the courts and in the Pro Shop.
AT THIS TIME WE WILL REMAIN OPEN AND CONDUCT REGULAR TRAINING AND LESSONS.
We wanted to share Info with you regarding the COVID-19.
As you know the COVID-19 is affecting many people in our area.
We are so glad that we are an outdoor facility and get to play tennis in the fresh air. We also love that tennis is not a contact sport which allows us to still practice and participate without being restricted in door and in close spaces to others.
Rules to keep our tennis community safe and healthy:
- No high fives
- No hand shakes (no physical contact at this time)
- Only the Coaching Staff will handle/touch the tennis balls (players will use the sanitized ball mowers or the ball tubes or nothing at all) for ball pick up
- Anyone showing symptoms of cold, flu or COVID-19 are asked to stay home, until better and cleared by their doctor
- All players please wash hands before coming on court
- Please use our Hand Sanitizers on the courts or in the Pro Shop, you can also bring your own and sanitize your racquets grip before and after practice or lesson
- Should Coaching Staff ask you to wash your hands during practice or lesson, please comply with their request.
- Our bathroom surface will continue to be cleaned regularly (HILTON protocol in place)
Some other tips to stay healthy during this time are below:
- Stay hydrated Please bring water from home in marked containers. ALL of our water dispersers will be closed and covered .
- Take your Vitamins
- Eat foods reach in Vitamin C (citrus), probiotic food (yoghurt), Vitamin B12 (fish, eggs) and Vitamin D3 (salmon, mushrooms)
- Sleep enough hours per night
- STAY ACTIVE – activity enhances immune function by increasing white blood cell count
We are doing our very best to stay informed and to keep our families healthy and safe. Check our website and our page for updates . We will contact you again should circumstances change.
