After decades dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and serving our local community, Prof. Rodrigo is back teaching GB1 Fundamentals at Gracie Barra Santa Barbara.

Always nice to have our old friend Victorhugobabosa , AKA “Monster,” training with us. Victor is a 4th degree black belt under Master Rillion Gracie.

Vitor and Prof. Rodrigo Clark have known each other for over 20 years and were roommates back when Gracie Barra Santa Barbara was just a dream. In 2009, after GBSB moved to State Street, Vitor received the mission to help the school and teach classes alongside Prof. Rodrigo. Shortly after, Prof. Rodrigo opened Gracie Barra Solvang, and Vitor was chosen to teach classes there and bring the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle to the valley.

Many years later, now running a large import business operation, Vitor is visiting for a few weeks, and training with us again, bringing his charisma and positive energy to the mats.

Professor Rodrigo is almost home! 🇧🇷✈️🇺🇸

After an incredible journey through Brazil, training alongside students at the annual GB Brazil Camp and visiting Gracie Barra schools across the country, Professor Rodrigo wrapped up the trip with some well-deserved time with family.

Now he’s in Orlando, Florida, for the final stop of the GB tour before heading back home to Santa Barbara.

Professor Rodrigo arrives tomorrow (Tuesday) night and can’t wait to be back on the mats with everyone!
