KNIGHTSBRIDGE puts on a SHOW in the Pacific Classic! 🤯🏆

The hype was real.

After arriving at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club off a 10¼-length demolition in the Monmouth Cup, Knightsbridge stepped up to Grade 1 company, stretched out to a mile and a quarter for the first time — and produced another phenomenal performance.

Breaking from the outside post, Junior Alvarado sent the Bill Mott-trained star forward, going head-to-head with Full Serrano through blistering early fractions before taking control and powering clear in the stretch.

The result: a dominant victory in the $1 million G1 Pacific Classic and the first Grade 1 triumph of Knightsbridge’s career.

And there’s another big prize waiting.

Victory earns the Godolphin homebred an automatic berth in the $7 million Breeders' Cup Classic at Keeneland this fall.

Friday Flashback to one of the greatest performances Del Mar has ever witnessed. 🤯

With the G1 Pacific Classic coming up tomorrow, how could we not go back to FLIGHTLINE in 2022?

What happened that afternoon almost didn’t look real.

Flightline cruised to the lead under Flavien Prat… and then simply disappeared.

The margin at the wire?

19¼ LENGTHS.

He stopped the clock in 1:59.28 for the mile and a quarter, narrowly missing the Del Mar track record, and was awarded an extraordinary 126 Beyer Speed Figure.

It was just the fifth start of his career.

Flightline would race only once more, winning the Breeders' Cup Classic at Keeneland to complete a perfect 6-for-6 career and earn Horse of the Year honors.

Four years later, the Pacific Classic is back tomorrow with another outstanding field ready to take center stage at Del Mar.

But performances like this?
