Coach Valdez was an NCAA Division I All-American for the University of Oklahoma and was formerly on the Olympic ladder. He was also a California High School State Champion, National High School runner up, and a 3-time Jr. He has trained under the renowned Coach John Azevedo, World Champion Sammie Henson, and lived and trained at the US Olympic Training Center.
