🟣🟡 WHERE ARE THEY NOW WEDNESDAY 🟡🟣

This week, Sanger Sports Corner is proud to spotlight Jason Morris, a member of the Sanger High School Class of 1987!

During his time at SHS, Jason competed in football, basketball and baseball. When he looks back on those years, it is the people who stand out most—his friends, teammates, coaches and teachers who helped make growing up in Sanger so special.

Jason credits his coaching staff with teaching him that hard work pays off and showing him what it means to be a true team player. Those lessons became the foundation for a successful professional journey built around teamwork, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Today, Jason lives in Cleburne, Texas, and serves as Vice President of Performance and Training for JMB Training Solutions. He also studied at the SMU Cox School of Business.

Throughout an incredible 39-year career in the manufacturing industry, Jason has focused on creating measurable improvement, solving problems alongside his team members and building strong organizations. However, the accomplishments that mean the most to him are the relationships he has built—both personally and professionally.

Jason is especially proud of the life he has created with his family and friends. He is married and blessed with four children and two grandchildren.

His message to today’s Sanger students and student-athletes is simple:

“Work hard, stay focused and understand the value of teamwork!”

For Jason, being a Sanger Indian means:

“Hokahey—Let’s go. Let’s do it!”

The Then photo takes us back to Jason’s 1986 football season in the purple and gold. The Now photo is his 2026 professional photo for JMB Training Solutions—a great look at where a lifetime of hard work, leadership and teamwork can lead.

Thank you, Jason, for sharing your journey and continuing to represent the values of the Sanger community!

📖 SSC VERSE OF THE WEEK 🙏

This week’s verse reminds us that Jesus offers something this world never can — true and lasting fulfillment.

“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’”
John 6:35

We spend so much time chasing things we think will satisfy us — success, recognition, comfort, accomplishments — but Jesus reminds us that our deepest need is found in Him.

When life feels empty, uncertain, or overwhelming, He is enough. He is our source of hope, strength, peace, and life.

A special thank you to Sanger Church of Christ, the Official Church of Sanger Sports Corner, for helping us share God’s Word with our community each week.

Come to Him. Trust in Him. Be filled by Him. 🙏

For the Town. For the Team. For the Tribe. ❤️💛
