🦅 WEEK IN REVIEW

Another week of competing, making history, and stacking wins across the Nest.

⛳️ Girls Golf kept the streak alive and moved to a perfect 7-0 on the season! They’re currently ranked 2nd in the state for our classification!

🏃‍♂️ Varsity Cross Country closed out the week with a strong showing at today’s invitational, and boys finished 3rd overall!

🏐 JV & Varsity Volleyball cleaned up at Ascend! Varsity battled through five sets for the first time in program history, dropping the first two before taking the final THREE to complete the comeback. 😤

🏐 MS Volleyball added another one to the win column with a victory over Grace Christian!

⚽️ Varsity Boys Soccer opened conference play in a battle with Clover Garden, coming up just short, 3-2.

Wins, milestones, close battles and plenty to build on.

For the first time ever, our Eagles are bringing volleyball HOME! 🏐🦅

Make it a full night of CCA Athletics:
⚽ Soccer | 4:30 PM @ the Fairgrounds
🏐 Volleyball | 6:30 PM @ First Baptist Church

Both teams are taking on conference opponents, so come pack the sidelines for soccer, then head over to First Baptist and help us make some noise for our varsity girls!!

🎟️ Volleyball admission is DONATION-BASED — come support the Eagles and be part of CCA history!

Chase the extraordinary.

Are you playing to win, or are you playing not to lose? There’s a difference.

Playing not to lose keeps you comfortable. Playing to win means taking the shot, making the pass, trying the new thing, and stepping into the hard moment—even when failure is a possibility.

The goal isn’t to never fail. It’s to be willing to risk failure because what you’re chasing is worth it.

This week, take the risk. Trust the work. Play to win. 🦅❤️💙

A little Week-ish in Review because we’ve got some catching up to do 🦅

We kicked things off last Friday with a CLEAN SWEEP at Lee Christian 🧹🔥 MS Soccer, MS Volleyball, JV Volleyball, and Varsity Soccer all came away with wins!

🏌️‍♀️ Golf and Volleyball continued the winning streak into Monday with wins over Grace Christian / Neuse Christian and Hawbridge, respectively.

☀️ Then the heat had other plans for us. With our outdoor events canceled after Tuesday, our Eagles adapted — trading competition for film, study halls, stretching, recovery, and finding ways to keep getting better. 💪

🏐 Varsity Volleyball made the most of the week, going 3-for-3 and they’re not done yet — they’re battling it out in tournament play as we speak!

Not exactly the week we planned, but the Eagles kept working anyway.

Adapt. Compete. Keep soaring. 🦅

A little something new for the Nest 👀📸🦅

Our AD, Mrs. Bohn, has been putting her creativity to work and created this CCA Athletics media wall for our student-athletes to use all year long!

Game days, media days, senior features, celebrations — we wanted a space that feels like CCA and gives our Eagles the spotlight they deserve.

And yes… we fully intend to have WAY too much fun with it. 😎

🚨 WEATHER UPDATE | OUTDOOR EVENTS CANCELLED

Out of an abundance of caution due to extreme heat, all CCA outdoor athletic events and activities scheduled for TODAY (9/2) AND TOMORROW (9/3) have been cancelled.

This includes:
• Varsity Cross Country @ Chatham Charter (9/2)
• Varsity Soccer at home (9/2)
• Middle School Soccer vs. Grace (9/3)
• Golf practice
• Flag Football tryouts

Volleyball may continue to practice and/or play their games!

The safety of our student-athletes and coaches will always come first.

Players should refer to communication from their coaches for any additional information, rescheduling, or team-specific updates.

Stay cool, Eagles! 🦅
