New England Collegiate Baseball League

New England Collegiate Baseball League The New England Collegiate Baseball League is summer baseball at its best! Today the NECBL has become a nationally recognized top-tier league.

The NECBL was founded in 1993 under the leadership of Emmy Award-winning television producer/director Joseph Consentino, former St. John's University and Boston Red Sox minor league outfielder. George Foster, former Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets All-Star HR and RBI leader, was the NECBL’s first Commissioner. Play started in 1994 and today the NECBL has become a nationally recognized top-tier l

eague that plays in all six New England states and recruits players attending U.S colleges from New England, the other forty-four States and foreign countries. The League starts its summer season in early June and plays an eight week 42 game per team schedule. The League Championship is determined by a playoff in early August. Each year our top players are scouted and selected in the MLB Draft. Any student who wishes to play in our League must be currently enrolled in a NCAA sanctioned College or University, be in good academic standing, have completed one year of athletic eligibility and have at least one year of eligibility remaining. The league strongly suggests that student athletes have their College coach and/or a MLB scout recommend them to any or all of our General Managers. Their phone numbers and email addresses can be found at their team's pages.

Congratulations to Ryan Ward on making his Major League debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ward’s path is one New England baseball fans know well. A Bryant product and Ocean State Waves alum, he spent the summer of 2018 in the NECBL before continuing his rise as one of the most highly regarded prospects out of New England.

Before getting the call, Ward put together a monster 2025 season in Triple A with 36 home runs, 122 RBI, 164 hits, 113 runs scored, a .557 slugging percentage, and a .937 OPS, earning Pacific Coast League MVP honors along the way. He also led all of Minor League Baseball in home runs, RBI, extra-base hits, and total bases.

This is the kind of moment people around New England love to see. Ryan Ward has been a name this region has believed in for a long time, and now he’s officially reached the highest level of the game.

Nobody deserves this opportunity more.

Congratulations, Wardo 💪🏼

The crown belongs to the Ocean State Waves 🌊🏆

Officially your 2026 NECBL Uniform Bracket Champions, the Waves brought a look that fans kept coming back to all tournament long. Clean, memorable, and full of Ocean State pride, this one earned its place at the top.

From the first round to the final, this uniform carried the kind of identity that makes it easy to remember and even easier to rally behind. A worthy champion, and a look that now stands alone at the top of the bracket.

The championship is here and this one feels worthy of the moment. 🏆

All bracket long, these two uniforms have separated themselves from the pack. The Ocean State Waves come in with a look that is bold, clean, and impossible to miss. That icy blue, the wave script, and the full identity of it just feels fresh every time you see it.

Then there are the Sanford Mainers, bringing one of the most recognizable looks in the bracket. Their yellow and green look is classic summer baseball. It is loud in the right way, full of tradition, and has that fan favorite feel that never goes out of style.

Two distinct identities.
Two unforgettable uniforms.
One last vote for the crown.

FINAL FOUR. Last matchup before the championship in the 2026 NECBL Best Uniform bracket.

The Martha’s Vineyard Sharks are rolling with their white and purple staple. Bold SHARKS across the chest, clean striping, and it just looks right every time they take the field. Total fan favorite.

The Sanford Mainers come right back with their gold set. That green script pops, the trim is sharp, and it feels like peak summer baseball the second you see it. Another classic that shows up big in big moments.

One spot left in the title round.
Vote in the poll: The Sharks or The Mainers

FINAL FOUR. NO MORE EASY PICKS.

Danbury Westerners vs Ocean State Waves

Danbury comes in loud with their red Hat City jerseys. It is a look fans already love and one that never really misses. Classic baseball feel, confident, and easy to recognize the second they step on the field.

The Waves answer with their coastal blue set. Clean, smooth, and inspired by the Ocean State itself. That wave logo jumps off the jersey and feels like it belongs right on the shoreline. It is a look that represents where they are from just as much as who they are, and you can feel that pride every time they take the field.

Both of these looks have real backing.
Both earned their spot here.

Now it comes down to this. One moves on, one goes home.

We’re down to the Final Four.

The Waves, Westerners, Mainers, and Sharks are still standing, with just two rounds left to decide the top uniform in the league. Four distinct looks, four tough outs, and only one can take the title.
