Lady Pride hit the diamond this weekend at Clay Presnell Park in Ashboro.
Despite allowing four runs in the first inning, Lady Pride defeated NC Rockers 9-4 on Saturday in first game. Lady Pride pulled away for good with nine runs in the second inning. Savannah McCaskill doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Macey Jackson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, Emily Auman grounded out, scoring one run, McKayla McDougald drew a walk, scoring one run, Kileigh Cameron doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and McKenzy McDougald singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Lady Pride got things moving in the first inning of second game. McKenzy McDougald singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Aftershock eventually pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning outdoing Lady Pride 5-2.
Lady Pride bounced back and won 8-0 in third game as two pitchers combined threw a shutout. Allie Bauer led things off in the pitcher's circle for Lady Pride. Bauer lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking one. Savannah McCaskill struck out #27 to finish off the game. Lady Pride had 12 hits in the game. Kasie Roberts, Kileigh Cameron, Bauer, and McCaskill each collected multiple hits for Lady Pride. McCaskill, Bauer, Cameron, and Roberts each collected two hits to lead Lady Pride .
The 8-0 win sent Lady Pride on to the Championship game where they fell short 6-1 and ended the day runners up.
