This team fought hard and never gave up, unfortunately we came up a little short 6-4 to Aruba. Congrats to Aruba!!! The season is over but the journey will continue with each one of these players. The team showed heart, class and sportsmanship throughout this tournament. We are so proud of this team!!!

Sanford let’s make some noise for your Sanford 8U All-Star team that beat Lutz 19-6 and we have advanced to the Championship game tomorrow vs Aruba at 6pm!!

Taking nothing away from Lake Mary’s great program and the publicity they deserve. We have another program, Sanford Youth Baseball in Seminole County that is making history and whose players and coaches deserve recognition as well!

World Series Update:

Sanford is entering the Chanpionship bracket as the #3 seed and will play the #2 seed Lutz tonight at 7:30 with the winner advancing to the World Series Championship game tomorrow.

World Series update Day 2:

We bounced back in convincing fashion by beating Guam 12-2 in our second game of the day.

We finished pool play with a 3-1 record which will advance Sanford into the Championship bracket which is now single  elimination. We will play tomorrow either at 5:30 or 7:30 vs TBD. Unfortunately we will not know the time or opponent until tomorrow afternoon.

Sanford 8U and Aruba 8U teams before our game. What a great feeling to the sportsmanship at such a young age. Hats off to the coaches and parents, job well done!
