How long have you been a member of CrossFit Exalted? A little over 3 years!
What made you join CrossFit Exalted? After having 3 babies I was ready to get in shape and change my habits. My friend invited me to bring a friend week and the rest is history. I immediately fell in love with the community and was inspired by the members and their abilities.
What is your favorite workout or movement? Unpopular crossfit opinion- but I love running! I also love anytime wall walks, toes to bar, and deadlifts are programmed.
What’s a workout or movement you’re currently working to improve? Forever working on dubs and always trying to improve my sn**ch technique.
What’s one achievement or milestone you’re proud of since joining? I am proud of myself for making fitness a priority in my life since joining CrossFit exalted. Because of that, I have been been able to reach so many goals I never even dreamed of, like running a half marathon, being able to do a pull up, competing in CrossFit competitions, walking on my hands and honestly just showing up for myself at 5 am every morning and moving my body.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Exalted community? The people I have met and get to work out with everyday and the coaches that have helped me reach goals in my fitness journey.
What’s your go-to post-workout meal or snack? Eggs and bacon with an english muffin, fruit/yogurt or a protein shake.
What are your fitness goals for the next 6 months? Run a sub 2 hour half marathon, finally master double unders.
Do you have a fun fact or something unique about yourself you’d like to share? I teach at the same school I attended as a kid.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering CrossFit, what would it be? Don't compare yourself to anyone else. We all start somewhere and the growth and results will come. It's uncomfortable at first but be consistent and keep showing up and you will be so happy you did.
Favorite hobbies or interests outside the gym? Spending time with my family, going to the beach, running and reading.
