Thy's Taekwon-do Is a ITF Taekwon-do school teaching real martial arts we are not a sport school. we teach self defense, the original Taekwon-do like muay thai and kick boxing we do not focus just on feet we use hands, feet, knees, and elbows all as one. Strengthening body and mind in a friendly family oriented atmosphere our art has remained true to its core principles: Courtesy, Integrity, Perse

verance, Self Control, Indomitable Spirit, as well as retaining a solid foundation in the core composition of Taekwon-Do: Conditioning, Fundamentals, Patterns, Sparring, Self Defense. This is an ITF Taekwon-Do school originally Vu’s Tae Kwon Do Chhoeun Thy (4th Dan) took over for him in 2008 where Andrew Evans (3rd Dan) became his Assistant. Thy’s Taekwon-Do had been open and striving since 2008 with Chhoeun Thy having a strong foundation in conditioning. All classes make sure you are physically fit or can help you get there. Chhoeun Thy also has a strong base, understanding, and specialty in the basics, fundamentals, and Patterns. Andrew also has a strong understand of fitness and body mechanics and although knows patterns focuses on sparring and self defense. With these two they make a solid foundation and compliment each other so much that the school always succeeds and exceeds in what they strive to do whether it’s a Holliday parties or dominating tournaments this is Maine’s ITF Dojang

The school is closed today due to the holiday Labor Day however, no worries. The mats are nice and clean prepared for the rest of the week training. We hope everyone enjoys this beautiful day and their time out with their family and friends.

At Thy’s Taekwon‑Do, we don’t often step into politics, but at its foundation Taekwon‑Do itself was born from struggle, discipline, and justice, and is about standing up for what’s right and recognizing true leadership.

Our school values integrity, perseverance, and service. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to have local leaders who embody those qualities.
One of them is Michael Perry.
Michael’s connection to our school goes back many years. His son trained with us, and even after, Michael stayed involved, joining fitness classes, attending seminars, making generous donations, and showing up at events to encourage students and instructors.
His consistent support reflects the very lessons Taekwon‑Do teaches: honesty, courage, perseverance, and community.

We’re happy to show our support to leaders who live these values.

With everyone going back to school, it’s important to remember that some people choose their school time to use it to bully others and as well as being courteous, respectful and having self discipline, we also pride ourselves in confidence, self-awareness, and indomitable spirit

Our integrity is important to us and our students and I wanna say that if you see bullying or if you get bullied yourself, don’t just act. Make sure that you let someone know that it is happening. Don’t be quiet about it. Don’t just fight back be vocal be loud stand your ground, and make sure to tell a trusted adult. Do what is necessary.
