Bada bing, bada boom!

Another good weekend is in the books for Wallace Racing! The team worked hard all day and it ended with some goods and some bads.

In the FA heat race the boys lined up next to each other like they’ve done all season, like the bash brothers from the mighty ducks ready to throw down on the competition. Going into the first turn it was a full on battle. Everyone seemed to have gotten a good start and the boys had some work to do. Jake was sitting P2 with Ryan in P3. When they went into turn 3/4 Ryan put the move on Jake and moved into the P2 spot but brought some traffic with him which moved Jake back to P4. Jake fortunately fixed his handling problem from the soo, seemed to have no match this week for the leaders. When lap 2 came around Ryan was right on the bumper of the leader, who was none the less, the infamous Karl Schwartz. Ryan would try to pass Karl on the outside by Karl would hold the inside line and power out of the corner. On the final lap final turn, Ryan set Karl up for an outside pass, and wouldn’t you know it, Karl had too much speed into the corner and went high, giving Ryan and open inside lane. Ryan took the hole getting around Karl, and beating him to the finish for a P1 finish. Jake unfortunately would finish out in P4. In between the heat and the final the crew made some final adjustments and did some tweaking on Jake’s sled in hope to find some more speed. At the Start of the final the boys came off turn one sitting 2&3 right behind Karl this time they had 5 laps to pass him so they knew that had time. Both gentlemen working like a team, picking lanes and planning their attack until an upset would strike Jake. When they went into turn 3 Jake setup for the corner but the sled had different plans and would drive straight up to the bank. Jake would get in under control and bring the sled in to find a stripped spindle and steering arm. Tough break. Ryan still on the track would put the pass on Karl a little earlier than the last lap. With no competition left for him he would finish out P1.

In 440 Fan Ryan would answer the call again, and I’m sure you know the story there. I mean come on! This sled is a powerhouse! The heat race and the final were two identical performances. Ryan showed true power in each of them, giving no mercy to any of the competitors. In the final Ryan had a tremendous lead, over half a track, and starting to lap the field before the checkered. Ryan would finish out that way and come home with another P1 finish.

Sorry to all our fans for the delayed post.

The Soo i500 Vintage race was another success for us, though it came with some challenges.

During qualifying, Jake and Ryan were both going out to break the records that Ryan broke last year. One in 440 FA and the other in 440 Fan. Fan was up first and Ryan put down a 46.378. That time would break his past record of 46.525! Next up was Jake with the FA. Jakes qualifying time was enough to break Ryan’s 2025 record but unfortunately the record was broken again by Chaz Major with a 45.955. Now it’s time for racing!

In Ryan’s heat race, he put on a clinic! Every lap Ryan would stretch out his lead more and more not really giving a chance for anyone else and giving him a P1 finish and transfer to the final.

In the FA heat race both Jake and Ryan lined up together (Fan is allowed to step up into FA). When the green flag dropped, both men put the hammer down and went 1 & 2 into the corner with Jake getting the hole shot. After the first lap Jake and Ryan started setting the pace and put on their own show out front. On lap two coming out of turn 2 Jake was fighting handling issues and Ryan was able to make the pass. Jake didn’t let Ryan go far but Ryan’s corner speed made it hard for Jake to get back up front giving Ryan the P1 and Jake P2.

For the finals the drivers had a plan and went to execute. Ryan was up first again with the fanner. Ryan had a plan to be conservative till the end but it didn’t seem to play out in his favor. Guy Guymer got the jump and put down some solid lap times and with sled limitations, Ryan didn’t have it at the end to catch him. Great job Guy Guymer you earned that one!

In the final for FA the boys lined up again. Ryan has yet to win a FA final at the soo, his first year Chaz Major beat him and last year he burned up a piston on the parade lap of fanner so he was looking for a win here. This was Jakes first year with us at the soo and he was looking for a #1 finish as well. Unfortunately for the defending winner and record setter Chaz Major, he blew his engine in the heat race and wasn’t able to compete. This left the track clear for the teammates to battle it out , and they did. The start showed the same story as the heat with Jake jumping to the lead early and Ryan following. When they came around on the first lap Jake was holding his lead and Ryan in second, both pulling away from the field, but that damn handling issue found Jake again and Ryan knew what to do. Ryan drove it in hard and when Jake had to lift to get around the corner Ryan hammered down and drove around him. Jake would stay right behind Ryan the remainder of the race and the boys would finish out 1&2 again. This would bring the team home with 2 - 2nds and a 1st.

We were happy to share these moments with our sponsors that drove up with us to watch. Thanks Sanford Lake Bar & Grill, Meridian Acres, Off the Hook Tavern , and The Krueger family for cheering us on from the snow bank!

“And on behalf of the entire production team, goodnight”

Well unfortunately the end of the 25th annual Vintage World Championship has came and went. On Sunday we had one last class final to finish up the weekend, 440 SS FA. This is the class we took 2nd place in on our heat race. We got beat out by just a couple sled lengths, but we know what we needed to get the job done. Ryan came up to the line and let the hammer drop when the green flag flew, but so did two other drivers. Everyone showed up with their A game, almost like there was a bounty out for Ryan’s head and everyone was going for it. When he dove in the first corner he was neck and neck with two other sleds and the inside line became a little tight, but nothing he couldn’t handle. Then out of no where Kyle Maug was running the outside line and shot around everyone, jumping to the lead with Ryan right behind him. Unfortunately Kyle had straight away speed we could not match. Coming into the corner, Ryan would pull up a few sled lengths, but as soon as that Arctic Cat EXT got on the straightaway, it would stretch its legs. So instead of over driving the sled and having the chance of something catastrophic happen, Ryan just settled into 2nd and rode it out and that’s where he would finish.

Some say 2nd place is like kissing your sister, others might say if you aint first, youre last. But what do we say? We gave her hell. When you step back and look at our accomplishments, that one second place is ok. We walked away with 3 Championships, How many other drivers did that? One of the classes being a Twin Pipe, modified class. Our other great accomplishments was we actually made the list of qualifiers for the WC and made it past the first round of heat races and into the quarterfinals. If ya think winning the Mod Stock class is impressive, then qualifying for the WC is right up that list. So even though we finished out the weekend with a 2nd, we still came home with our heads held high and 3 WC Jackets!

Thank you again to everyone that made it possible. Not just the sponsors, as they know we appreciate their support, but our behind the scenes crew, you know who you are.

“SOMEONE CHECK THAT THING FOR STEROIDS!!!”

Today was another positive day for the team. Ryan drove hard all day long. The first heat of the day for us was 440 SS FA. This is definitely a tough field of good competitors and when the green flag dropped, we knew it. Ryan went for his signature hole shot but didn’t seem to work out. The skis stayed planted and he came off the line around 3rd. He drove it hard into the first turn and was able to come out in 2nd, chasing down the leader. Every lap Ryan would inch closer and closer to the leader but would run out of time being it was only a 3 lap heat race. With a P2 finish, Ryan knows what he needs to do going into the final tomorrow.

Next up was 440 Mod Stock, a class that people don’t put their Single Pipe, Super Stock sleds into. Ryan lined up next to a good group of previous champions like Wyatt Wilkins, Spencer Steves, and Dustin Fierek. This is where it’s time to nut up or shut up. The green flag flies and Ryan hammers down, but so did everyone else. Wyatt jumps to the lead followed by Spencer and Ryan side by side into turn one. When they came out, Ryan moved into P2 and set his eyes on Wyatt. When they went into turn 2 Ryan drove it in hard and pulled up 2 lengths onto the leader, just what he needed. As they came across the start/finish line Ryan and Wyatt were neck and neck. Ryan drove it hard into turn one again, this time pulling away from Wyatt and everything was looking great until the red flag. This would allow Wyatt to get right back onto Ryan’s hip and with 2 laps to go, Ryan was relying on his hole shot to happen. The green flag went and so did Ryan, never looking back as he continued to lead, all the way to the finish. An absolute epic moment.

Now the class that we really shouldn’t be in. Like literally, who thinks it’s a good idea to enter their sled into a Supermod Class with a Super Stock. This is a Lamborghini vs a Pontiac G8 kind of thing. What started of as some practice time, turned into qualifying for a heat raced, and would you know it, RYAN MADE IT TO THE QUARTERFINALS!! In his heat race a few sled broke down, and some found themselves in the hay-bails and ryan ended up with a 3rd place finish and transfer to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately that’s where it all ended, but still a fun memory.

Tomorrow is the last day here at World Championship Derby Complex and we have 1 more class to go so keep cheering us on.

🎵 All I do is win, win, win, no matter what 🎵

Day one is in the books and what a beautiful day it is. The first heat of the day for us was elimination heat for 440 SS Fan cooled. Ryan got a great start diving into the first corner mixed in the field but then pulled hard and took the lead. There was an accident in turn 2 that gave everyone a chance to bunch back up for a restart, but that didn’t matter. Ryan launched and the restart and resumed his lead position all the way to the finish.

Next up was the Final for the 440 SS Liquid Cooled. Since there wasn’t enough entries for a heat race we went right to the final. Ryan got a great start again and drove it hard into the first corner. The field made him work a little harder this time but he found himself pulling into the lead coming out of turn two on lap 1. The race was clean the whole way and no one decided to challenge Ryan, giving us our first WC win of the weekend.

The last race of the day for us would be the Final for the 440 SS FC. Thanks to Marcie Fierek for catching that moment for us. Ryan pulled up to the line and you could tell he was ready, when the green flag drop, Ryan put the bumper on the ice and the ski’s to the sky, literally, pulling a wheelie and getting the whole shot. He drove it hard into every corner and kept the competition behind him. Buy lap 3 you could tell he found his line and started pulling lengths on the rest of the field. When the Checkered flag flew he was out on his own for the victory.

Make sure you tune in tomorrow for more racing in 440 SS Free Air and 440 Mod Stock.

Well that’s a wrap on our 2025 race season!

The team went north to Raber Bay for the last race of the season over the weekend and brought home some hardware. Unfortunately though, it came with a little pain. If you havent seen Ryans video, you need to.

Ryan went into his heat race looking strong. After the start, he had a little ground to make up to get to the lead but by turn 2 he had that covered. As he set up for turn 1 the sled decided it had other plans and pitched Ryan off sending Ryan over the bank and the sled tumbling. Ryan was checked out at the hospital and returned back to the track the same day.

Jake continued on the same groove he finished the MIRA season with. In the Super Stock heat race he ended up with a P2 finish but was right on the leaders tail. Luckily, the final had a few more laps and gave Jake the time he needed to get out front and get the P1 finish. We also bumped up into the Mod Stock class where Jake got a respectable P3 finish. All in all, a really good day.

The amount of thanks we have to give to our sponsors is tremendous. We truly appreciate every bit of it.

Well that’s a wrap on our MIRA season! First we want to say thank you to Ryan Wolfe and Jake William Gerow for a great 2025 MIRA season. You both did a superb job keeping us on top!
Lincoln came with some highs and it definitely came with some lows. With Ryan having an 8 point lead on the series, we were looking for a 1-2 finish on the season. Unfortunately some last minute changes after testing threw a wrench into that plan. Ryan was leading his heat and looking great up until he came off turn 2 and stuck a piston. Unfortunately the dnf took him out of the final. Jake was in a separate heat were he finished 1st and advanced to the final. If you have seen the video shared earlier, you seen the final was very interesting. Jake drove hard the whole race, from starting in dead last, to being in P3 before lap 1 was over, and then driving in hard into the final corner to dive under the leader and come out of the turn and across the finish line in 1st. Jake will go on to finishing the season with 1st in high points and Ryan finishing with a very respectable 3rd in high points.

Wallace Racing had a great MIRA season but it wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors.
