Jeff Jones Rest in peace sir. You were one of a kind. We will miss you dearly.

We Bow With Heavy Hearts

We may have lost a warrior…
A friend… a teacher… a student…
A man of God who walked the Way with humility… wisdom… and fire.

We bow not in defeat but in reverence…
For though he has left this world… his presence moves still…
in every breath we draw on the mat…
in every word of scripture that stirs our hearts…
in every moment we remember that faith and discipline are not separate paths… but one.

He taught us that mastery is not dominance…
It is surrender to learning…
He showed us that a 10th dan could still put on a white belt and listen…
That a man seasoned by years could still be soft enough to grow…
That the sword of the spirit and the grip of the martial artist were never far apart…

We trained with him… we prayed with him… we laughed and learned with him…
And now… we grieve with him… because grief… too… is a practice…
And like all practices… it leads us somewhere deeper…

He left suddenly… but not without purpose…
Because the Master above calls home His faithful servants in ways we do not understand…
And in the sting of this loss… we do not lose faith…
We let our faith stretch… ache… and expand…

We remember…
The mat teaches presence…
The word teaches surrender…
And both teach love…

So we bow again… this time not to each other… but to him…
To the soul that stood among us…
And now walks ahead into eternity…

And as we rise…
We carry him not in memory alone…
But in movement… in scripture… in silence…
He is with us… always…

🥋 Guardian Mt. Hood’s 6-Year Anniversary Celebration! 🎉

Time flies when you’re training hard! Guardian Mt. Hood is turning six years old, and we couldn’t have done it without this incredible community. To celebrate, we’re inviting everyone to join us on Wednesday, April 9th, for an early class at 6 PM, followed by a potluck at 7 PM!

Come roll, share stories, and enjoy some great food with even better company. Bring a dish, bring your energy, and let’s make this anniversary one to remember.
