Luckys been at the shelter for….a while. He’s been there every single shift we’ve volunteered, quietly snoozing in his space. He has turned from a scaredy little guy, too afraid to leave the shelter parking lot with us, to an absolutely radiant, confident, and joyful pup on his canicross runs. While we absolutely adore Lucky and love going for runs with him, we know he is so ready for his own safe and loving home!

MEET COOKIE! 🍪

COOKIE IS READY FOR CANICROSS! She listened to commands perfectly, willingly pulled the entire run, ignored every obstacle thrown at her, and is SO SWEET! Bond over trail runs, sprint workouts, and recovery snuggles with this sweet adorable girl! New to canicross? This dog is PERFECT. Seasoned canicross athlete? This dog is PERFECT. You could be at a race running 5 min miles or your first meet up working on your first continuously ran mile next week and Cookie would be so down for either, she just wants to run and to be with YOU!

MEET MAXIMUS 💪🐎
📍Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters

Max is a purebred Doberman Pinscher and is a whopping 93 lbs!!! He might be big but this sweetie is quite literally spooked by his shadow. He is a working dog through and through and Furkids is looking for the perfect fit for this guy that’ll fulfill those breed specific needs. He did awesome out for his run with us and lit up when he realized we were working as a team (check out that smile!). MEET JUSTICE 🥊🐕

Justice says all paces are welcome in the canicross community and we couldn’t agree more 🫶 This puppy girl is a 4 year old Belgian Malinois and is absolutely lovely. She had bikes, kids, runners, and more pass her head on while out for her jog without a second glance. She loves people, is great with other dogs, and is full of playful spirit. She might only have 3 legs, but she’s the total package! Apply to adopt Justice on Furkids Atlanta’s website and go meet her at the beautiful new shelter!!

MEET CASPER! 👻
📍Furkids Atlanta

Casper is a spunky little guy who is sure to make you laugh, I mean it! This little goof ball is full of snorts and energy. He’s only 1 year old, loves training, playing, and affection. He really loved going for a run with us, so much so, he had to go for a little airplane ride to make sure he didn’t overdo it on a hot and humid morning 😂 Think you wanna hit the trails and show up all the big dogs with Casper? At North American Canicross’s Race Around Red Top all dogs are welcome no matter their size, breed, or background. We happened to park next to the sweetest team in the world, Sudie and Ghost. We wished them luck in their race, and during the awards ceremony watched them claim their first place prize! Ghost loved to pull during the race and showed his true Canicross spirit. Can’t wait to see and cheer for them at the next race!
