Sandwich Little League (SLL) is based in beautiful, historic Sandwich, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. This organization includes youth programs in baseball and softball. Through these programs, Sandwich Little League provides a vehicle for children to learn the fundamentals of team spirit, friendship, and the wonders of personal achievement. All children will receive instruction to teach them the spor

t, but the main goal of SLL is to ensure that the children who play in the program have fun and will take with them fond memories of Little League. SLL is a non-profit organization run strictly by volunteers who are committed to fostering the well being of children through youth sports. Generally, practices and games start in April and the regular season finishes in late June. The league also has a Fall Ball season in September and October.

The Sandwich Sharks had an amazing week in Cooperstown! They went 5-3 and made it
into the round of 32 where they faced off against the 16th seed and and ultimately lost a dramatic extra innings game.
The other big story was the Home run count. In what was sure to be a record week for a Sandwich Little League Cooperstown team the Sharks hit 14 dingers this week!!

Congrats boys!! I’m sure as many memories were made off the field as on this week. Safe travels home. ⚾️🏡

ONE LAST BLAST!!
In what we might call a mini Blast, 6 teams competed at Sandwich Little League’s final Summer Blast of the season . For the first time since 2014 a team from Sandwich, the 11U’s took home the championship trophy in a decisive win over Quincy 13-3 in 4 innings. A walk off steal of home on a wild pitch sealed the victory.
Congrats to the 11U’s for their 2nd tournament win of the season and their 3rd finals appearance.
Thank you to all the teams, parents, coaches, umpires, volunteers and ground crew that work so hard to make our Summer blasts such a success!! ⚾️🙌🏼
