Saturday for 10k ends how most rounds so far have by me giving it back. But I was taking way to much stripe going dead on out of it earlier so knew for 10k I’d have to tighten it up. Du***ss!
Best thing though is having one of my nieces turn on the final win light for the night. Winner winner chicken dinner.

Sunday 2nd Annual Hootenanny No Box Open Recap

Today was a day for the memory bank, running some of the best bracket racers every round. I was able to put some laps together, until I didn’t 🤦🏻‍♂️ down to 18 cars.

Overall I was able to hold my own against the best in the country. The rest of the year has a bright outlook if the last two weeks are any indication. Let’s Find Out!!

After buying back with both entries today and getting lucky to get 1 through. I started doing what I was supposed to do until Round 4 (down to 44) where I let my guy back around by .001 down 2 mph. Had a slight advantage.005 to .011. Back at it tomorrow for a couple chances for 10k, tonight it’s beer time and All Star Shootout tonight! 32 of THE BADDEST racers in the country!!

Here and hoping for some win lights this weekend

Hootenanny Races LLC No Box Open starts tomorrow with gates opening at 8am and time trials at 9am.

This past weekend at Summit Motorsports Park I managed to get down to the Quarterfinals (final 8 cars) leaving off the button. Was killing the tree all day but didn’t catch the drop of my opponent 5th round. Lesson learned. Next weekend will be at Dragway 42 for the No Box Hootenanny.

Thursday Night’s Poorman Gamblers Race
- 18 thousandths package against me 2nd round

Friday Double Enrty
- A red first round AND buy back
- B Revenge against the 18 pack the night before: .008 to his .000 I rip a few to be above the dial and taking the stripe. But a 3rd round exit on a double breakout.

Saturday Double Entry
- A red first round, bought back and was spanked BAD!
- B 3rd round exit when I messed up on the top end and ripped it a time to many and let him back by .002 at the top end.

Sunday Double Entry
- A&B both made it through first round but lost them both 2nd round.

Overall for the first weekend of real racing I’ve done in a long time I’m very pleased with how it turned out. Have a few things to look forward to that should help out on a few of those rounds. Seat time was needed and definitely encouraged by the top end side of driving that was done. All in all made 19 trips down the track with 16 of those elimination rounds. So did a lot of 🦆ing around and found a lot out!

Take a ride with me for first round this past Saturday at Dragway 42.
I was .041 to his .032 on the tree and took the strip by .005.
Was knocked out 3rd round by both car issue and driver stupidity. Turned on a couple win lights so overall a positive. See what happens with Summit this weekend but not holding my breath.
