NOTABLE SEASON MILESTONES:

Hill’s 24 wins are the second most ever in program history.

Joseph Terreri, the 2026 four-year 6’7 forward headed to play at Williams, ends his Hill career with 84 wins, more than any other Hill player ever.

Caleb Jameson ’26, 6’5 lefty guard, headed to play at Carnegie Mellon, made 95 threes on the season, most ever in a season by a Hill player, making 44.4% of his threes.

Ethan Johnston ’26, 6’7 guard on his way to play at Marquette, broke 1000 Hill points and ended up with 1330 career Hill points, and finishes his career 3rd on the all-time Hill scoring list. He finished as Hill’s top career rebounder, and 4th all-time in assists.

Cole Trn ’27 moves up to 7th all-time in 3FGM. He led the team in charges taken for the second straight year.

Cole, Eyan Valadez ’28, and Caleb Jameson ’26 all eclipsed 1000 high school points. Valadez also had 99 assists this year, good for 12th most in a Hill season.

Zane Conlon ’26 won his fourth state championship, having won three PIAA titles at Devon Prep. Conlon’s 166 rebounds were 15th most in a Hill season. His 420 points were 13th most in a season.

Ben Natal ’26 won his second state championship, having led Central York HS to the 2024 PIAA 6A state title. Natal’s 89 assists on season was good for 14th best in a Hill season.

Ben and Zane also led the team with 44 steals each.

Hill Wins State Title

Hill (24-9) saved its best for last, playing a great game at St Joe’s University Hagan Arena to beat Phelps School (24-12), 74-56, to win its third state title. Hill used suffocating defense to shut down the high-octane Phelps offense. Hill tracks a stat called bricks, three stops in a row, and Hill earned 7 bricks in the game. Up 18-9 after a quarter, Hill then led 34-24 at halftime. A dominant third quarter, where the Blues again held Phelps to just 9 points and Ethan Johnston ’26 exploded for 13 of his game-high 22 points, had Hill up 61-33 entering the final quarter. Johnston also chipped in 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Ben Natal ’26 had a great game, playing tough defense on Phelps’ talented backcourt and scoring 21 points. Zane Conlon ’26 added 11 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Cole Trn ’27, who will be a key leader in the returning corps, had 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 points (2/3 FG), made his only three, and took a great charge early to set the tone for the Blues.

The PAISAA championship game was a rematch of last year’s title game where Hill entered the fourth quarter tied, but could not close it out. Phelps also beat Hill back on February 4th at Hill in Overtime, making the win even more gratifying.

Hill Back in State Championship Game

In a great game in Gillison Gym, Hill (23-9) upended a very tough Haverford (25-5; 10-0 InterAc Champs) squad to earn a return trip to the PAISAA Championship game, to be held this Friday at 730pm at St Joseph’s University. Hill will face Phelps, who beat top-seeded Westtown in the other semifinal. It will be a rematch of last year’s title game; Phelps also won at Hill in overtime on February 4th. Despite some early offensive speed bumps with tempo, Hill played a clean game, yielding just 5 turnovers on the game. The Blues would not allow any transition or second-chance points in the game. It will take that effort or better to bring home a state title against a very talented Phelps team on Friday night.

It was a back and forth game throughout, with Hill trailing 6-0 early then up 20-16 after a quarter. Ethan Johnston ’26 beat the halftime buzzer for a three that made it 34-33 Hill at half. The Blues made a strong push to start the second half and Haverford answered, closing to 49-45 after three quarters. In the fourth, Hill led 54-50, then a tough blocking call and1 3-pt play for Haverford’s outstanding 6’5 guard Silas Graham ’27 (game-high 21 points) cut it to 54-53. At the other end, Eyan Valadez ’28 found Cole Trn ’27 for a clutch three answer, and Hill controlled the game from there. Joseph Terreri ’26, in his final game in Gillison of a great four-year career that will make him the winningest player in Hill history with 83 or 84 wins (tbd), had a great game, scoring 11 points to go with 4 rebounds and 2 assists. He is one of four Blues in double figures, with Zane Conlon ’26 adding 8pts, 8r, 3a. Johnston stat-stuffed for 14pts, 10r, 4a, 2b, 2s. Caleb Jameson ’26 added 14pts and Ben Natal ’26 chipped in 11pts, 4r, 2s.

Friday will be Hill’s sixth PAISAA championship game, as the Blues appeared in the first two editions in 2007 and 2008, brought home the title in 2014 and 2018, and now are in back to back title games in 2025 and 2026.

Hill Back in PAISSA Final Four

Hill continued its quest to return to the state championship game, moving just one more win away from a 2nd straight title game. With Friday night’s 74-54 win over 7th seed Academy of New Church, Hill reached 22 wins on the season, 2nd most ever in school history (only behind last year’s 25 wins). With the win, Hill will go back to another state final four, its 8th in the last 10 tourneys, and will host 3rd seed and InterAc champion Haverford School. The Fords are 26-4 on the season with one of their very few losses being to Hill in the McBride tournament championship game at Haverford in December. They are playing very well, having beaten a strong Perkiomen team 72-42 to advance on Friday.

Hill played a pretty strong quarterfinal game, leading ANC 26-15 after a quarter and 40-30 at halftime, despite some poor ex*****on in the final minute of the half. Hill was able to control the glass for much of the game, and shared the ball for 21 assists to connect on 52% of their field goal attempts. After outscoring ANC 18-9 in the third, Hill led 58-39 going in the final quarter and pulled away for the win. Ethan Johnston ’26 had a game-high 21 points to go with 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Caleb Jameson ’26 added 13 points, and Ben Natal ’26 set the tone early on his way to 12 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Zane Conlon ’26 did a bit of everything with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Joseph Terreri ’26 provided a great spark off the bench with solid work on the glass, strong interior defense, and hitting from deep.

Semifinal game for Tuesday at Hill is set for 630pm. The other Tuesday semifinal pits 4-seed Phelps at top-seed Westtown.

Hill Advances in PAISAA

Hill (21-9) overcame a poor second quarter to pull away for a convincing 84-60 first round win in the PAISAA state tournament. The #2 seed, Hill faced a 15th seeded Friends Central squad that took Hill to overtime back in November; Hill ultimately prevailed 98-90. This time, Hill led 23-14 after a quarter, but only 37-36 at half. Hill would outscore the visiting Phoenix 26-10 in the third quarter. The Blues put five players in double figures and Joseph Terreri ’26 added 8 pts and 2 assists in a strong effort. Other notable stats:

Ethan Johnston ’26 15pts, 11r, 4a, 3s
Zane Conlon ’26 23pts, 2s
Ben Natal ’26 10pts, 5a, 4r
Caleb Jameson ’26 13pts, 4r, 2a
Eyan Valadez ’28 10pts, 2a

Hill went 12-27 from three on the night, and had 19 assists to 9 turnovers.

Hill advances to this Friday’s quarterfinal game where they will host #7 seed, Academy of New Church. Game time is set for 630pm.
