Reminder to gymkhana students for QCGC here is the schedule and patterns through this season!

If you or your parent does not volunteer at 5 shows you are not eligible for year end awards, just a heads up. So… none of us are eligible 😅 we will be more prepared next year! BUT this is still a great way to test you and your horses and how well you can communicate on different patterns!

I slacked on pictures tonight but HOLY SMOKES my students freaking rocked it at the QCGC gymkhana!!! I’m so incredibly proud of every one of them! They put in the hard work and the time and everyone had smiles tonight! My heart is whole! Great placings all around, horses did amazing and kiddos showed awesome sportsmanship! Thank you also to their parents I’m so blessed that you guys believe in our little program 💜

Random pic of Dolly the wonder pony who placed 2nd overall with me at her first gymkhana! She is ready for her little kiddo to take over 😁

If you guys have pics or video to share we would love to see them and feature on our page!

Did you know if you type into Google “Inexpensive, safe and sound horses” this is the result you get:

Finding a horse that is inexpensive, completely safe, and 100% sound at the same time is very rare, as the famous horse adage states you can usually only pick two.

The Golden Rule of Horse Buying

Cheap + Sound: The horse is healthy and inexpensive, but likely green, unbroke, or needs professional training.

Cheap + Safe: The horse is gentle and well-trained, but likely older, retired-soon, or dealing with a chronic soundness issue.

Safe + Sound: A healthy, bombproof, middle-aged riding horse will always cost a significant amount of money.

Hmmmmm 🤔🤔🤔
In today’s world $3500 is “cheap” hell I think $6000 is cheap now! A good horse that’s safe enough for grandma and kids to ride is worth their weight in gold! So what if they need some maintenance??? I swear the horse community is a bit nuts with their expectations!

Ok I’ll get off my pedestal now 😅

🔔 🚨 ATTENTION 🚨 🔔

✨ August Lesson break! ✨

Hi all my amazing students! I have decided to take the month of August OFF from lessons to allow myself time to really focus on my training and personal horses!

Obviously if you come out to ride your horses or rope the dummy and I’m here, of course I’ll give you advice or answer questions, but I won’t be scheduling anything or committing to a specific amount of time.

Things will resume back to normal in September and hopefully cooler temps!

🌞 🌺 Thank you so much for your understanding and enjoy your summer! 🌞 🌼
