Charlie is one of my youngest catchers in my catching training mentorship program, and she continues to impress me every week.

We’ve worked together fully online for the last year, and this weekend, she threw out 5 runners in her tournament.

She’s proof that no matter your age, if you decide to show up for yourself and learn from your mentors, you can have insane results.

You need to communicate AND listen ⬇️👂

Listen to my voice in the first clip: “BALL BALL BALL”

Even on the livestream, you can hear me call clearly.

But in the second clip? I wait.

Can I get to this ball? Yes.
Does my third baseman have a better vantage point, and am I waiting for her to call me off? Also yes.

I still get there, but softball IQ wise, I know my corner should be there.

I LISTENED FIRST, and as soon as she calls me off, I back off.

Communication goes both ways.
