San Marcos Youth Baseball

San Marcos Youth Baseball San Marcos Youth Baseball (SMYB) is a youth baseball organization in North County San Diego. SMYB is a volunteer run, non profit youth baseball league.

Based at Mission Sports Park in San Marcos, CA, SMYB serves youth of North County San Diego. Players ages 5 - 16 enjoy state of the art facilities and high level coaching during both the Fall and Spring seasons. Registration for the Fall season begins in July and the season runs from August - November. Registration for the Spring season begins in November and the season runs from January - June. S

MYB sends teams to the PONY Baseball All Star tournaments each year and any player in the league is eligible to participate on All Star teams. We are the home of the 2014 7U Pinto World Series Champs and the 2015 8U Pinto World Series Champs. In addition to the recreation league, SMYB also has programs in place for players with more experience and higher skill levels. SMYB is also the host of 3 major tournaments each year which attract club and travel baseball teams from all over San Diego County:

SMYB Memorial Weekend Tourney
SMYB Halloween Baseball Bash (late October)

⚾ Attention SMYB Coaches ⚾

Beginning January 1, 2027, California law will require all youth sports coaches to be CPR certified through an accredited organization (online or in-person).

To help coaches meet this new requirement, the San Marcos Fire Department is offering CPR certification classes throughout the year.

📅 Upcoming Class Dates:
• June 13, 2026
• October 10, 2026
• November 14, 2026

💲 Cost: $75 per student through SMFD
💻 Online certification options may be available at a lower cost through other accredited providers.

Ready to take your game beyond rec baseball?

The **SLAM Red (Coach Ed Willcox)** and **SLAM Blue (Coach Jason Toombs)** competitive travel baseball teams are looking for dedicated players ready to compete at a high level, develop advanced baseball skills, and play tournament baseball throughout the year.

⏰ **Tryout Times**
• Group 1: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
• Group 2: 6:15 PM – 7:45 PM
(Time slots will be assigned based on registration numbers.)

⚾ **Who Is Eligible?**
Players born on or after **May 1, 2016** are eligible for 10U. Typical 10U birthdates range from **5/1/2016 – 4/30/2017**. Younger players are welcome to attend and are also encouraged to try out for the upcoming 9U team.
