San Marcos Youth Baseball

San Marcos Youth Baseball San Marcos Youth Baseball (SMYB) is a youth baseball organization in North County San Diego. SMYB is a volunteer run, non profit youth baseball league.

Based at Mission Sports Park in San Marcos, CA, SMYB serves youth of North County San Diego. Players ages 5 - 16 enjoy state of the art facilities and high level coaching during both the Fall and Spring seasons. Registration for the Fall season begins in July and the season runs from August - November. Registration for the Spring season begins in November and the season runs from January - June. S

MYB sends teams to the PONY Baseball All Star tournaments each year and any player in the league is eligible to participate on All Star teams. We are the home of the 2014 7U Pinto World Series Champs and the 2015 8U Pinto World Series Champs. In addition to the recreation league, SMYB also has programs in place for players with more experience and higher skill levels. SMYB is also the host of 3 major tournaments each year which attract club and travel baseball teams from all over San Diego County:

San Marcos Youth Baseball players are invited to a FREE Fall Ball Skills Clinic led by Coach Jared Eichelberger and the 5ive Tool Baseball Academy team.

💰 No fee—pre-registration required

Clinic sessions will focus on hitting, fielding, base running, throwing and pitching, with age-specific time slots available for Shetland, Pinto, Mustang, Bronco and Pony players.

No matter your experience level, SMYB provides support, resources, and guidance throughout the season. Registration is still open for SMYB's 4U Division—the perfect introduction to baseball for our youngest players!

Designed for children born between May 1, 2022 and April 30, 2023, this fun, low-pressure program helps kids build confidence, make new friends, and learn the basics of baseball while having a blast.

⚾ Tee-ball format designed just for 3 & 4-year-olds
📅 One practice and one game each week
😊 Fun, active, and age-appropriate instruction

⚾ Attention SMYB Coaches ⚾

Beginning January 1, 2027, California law will require all youth sports coaches to be CPR certified through an accredited organization (online or in-person).

To help coaches meet this new requirement, the San Marcos Fire Department is offering CPR certification classes throughout the year.

📅 Upcoming Class Dates:
• June 13, 2026
• October 10, 2026
• November 14, 2026

💲 Cost: $75 per student through SMFD
💻 Online certification options may be available at a lower cost through other accredited providers.

We encourage all current and prospective coaches to start planning now to ensure compliance before the new law takes effect. Thank you for your commitment to providing a safe and positive baseball experience for our players!
