✨ One sales horse opening available ✨

I currently have one opening in my program for a sales horse.

This is an opportunity for an owner looking for professional training, thoughtful development, and sales representation for a quality horse.

🐴 I particularly enjoy developing horses who may need more education, strength, confidence, or polish before being presented to the right buyer. Each horse is treated as an individual, with the goal of developing them correctly while also showcasing what makes them special.

Professional training, quality care, photos/video, marketing, show exposure when appropriate, and communication with prospective buyers can all be tailored to the individual horse.

Sometimes the best measure of progress is a horse that walks into the ring a little more confident, a little stronger, and a little more prepared than before.

Salty and I wrapped up our week at Del Mar with scores of 65.5% and 63% in Fourth Level Test 3. There are still plenty of pieces to polish, but I’m proud of the direction we’re heading. Every show gives us a clearer roadmap for what comes next.

Back home, back to the work, and excited for what’s ahead. 💙

As I look ahead, one of my goals is to continue expanding the horse development side of my program.

I am passionate about helping horses reach their potential through thoughtful, individualized training both in and out of the arena. From young horses just starting their journey to more experienced horses developing advanced work, I truly enjoy the process of building strength, confidence, understanding, and long-term success.

The performance you see in moments takes years to build. ✨🐴
Behind every movement are countless hours spent developing strength, balance, confidence, and understanding.
Hill work, cavaletti, trail rides, turnout, recovery days, and patient, consistent training all play a role in helping a horse reach his potential. The work that happens outside the arena is just as important as the work that happens inside it.
A heartfelt thank you to Sandy Burns Gardner and the entire team at SFS Dressage. For years they have provided an exceptional environment for both horses and riders to grow, learn, and succeed. Their dedication to the horses, attention to detail, and unwavering support have played an enormous role in Salty’s journey and in the success of our program. ❤️A very special thank you to Lisa Galliath, my partner and co-owner of Salty, who believed in him before he was even started under saddle and has been part of this journey every step of the way. I’m looking for a reliable, horse-savvy working student to help 1–3 weekday mornings in my dressage program in San Marcos.

Great fit for someone who wants more hands-on experience and time in a structured training barn.

Duties include grooming, tacking, turnout, basic barn chores, and helping keep the program running smoothly.

Must have prior horse handling experience (not suitable for beginners) and be comfortable working independently in a calm, professional environment.

Ideally, this is a work-exchange position for lessons (on school horses or your own), though hourly pay may be considered for the right fit.

Looking for someone dependable, positive, and detail-oriented who takes pride in horse care.
