What do we do with our retired Aerial fabric?

Wear and tear is part of the normal life cycle of aerial fabric. We're extra cautious with our Silks safety, and retire fabrics from the studio when we notice holes. But that hole is a TINY spot on a HUGE fabric. So what happens next?

Since it doesn't have to support the force of catching "drops", it's still safe to repurpose!

We've braided them into ropes.
We've shortened them to trim out the holes and used them as swings.
We've knotted them to use as a climbing rope.
We've woven them into a climbing net.
We've clipped them into scarves.
We've used them as "roofs" over tunnels at parties.

We'd love to hear any other creative ideas you have for us!

☀️ 3 Top Indoor Educational Activities for Kids in San Luis Obispo
When SLO days are sunny (and sometimes we get surprisingly hot), kids still need places to move, play, and learn without spending more hours in direct sun…or on a screen.

Each activity offers something different, but all three help kids explore, learn, and grow. At Performance Athletics, we love to see kids learn (one of the five core values behind everything we do), and we know gymnastics is a great way (but not the only one!) to help kids grow.

Parking lot sale 9:30am-3:30pm. PA families & our Airport Business Center complex neighbors can RSVP for a seller's spot.

Family Climb 11:45an-12:45pm, 5+yrs. 1hr of parent-child aerial silks instruction. Beginner-friendly. $15/ 1st child, +$10/ additional sibling.

Bars & Bounce Clinic 1-3pm, 5-17yrs. 2hrs of progressive gymnastics drills & skills on the bars & trampolines. *

Parkour Clinic 1-3pm, 5-17yrs. 2hrs of parkour instruction on our floor, beams, bars, and trampolines. *

Aerial Silks Clinic 1-3pm, 7-17yrs. 2hrs of structured learning on the aerial fabric. *$25/ 1st child, +$10/ additional sibling.

Kids' Party Paradise: Imagymnation Station 5-9:30pm, 4-13yrs. 4.5hrs of big gym playtime (trampolines, spring floor, pit), pizza, marshmallow castle dessert, and A Bug's Life (movie). $50/ 1 child OR $70/ 2+ siblings.
