El Nino Diving.
Last week was the official start of diving season for
If you want the best of times join us this season.
We have a special set of trips this year. Limited load of 24 divers on the Spectre Dive Boat on October 6th and or 7th. Yeah its a Tuesday and a Wednesday but you might not get this chance again. Very beging of season, El Nino conditions and lots of space. Tuesday is a late start and three dives Wedensday is regular time with a four dive day. Make it a two day and spend the night in a local hotel with the special rate offered by the Spectre right in the harbor.

We just had a student for Friday's Advanced dives on the Spectre get sick and cannot make the trip. I have room for one diver if you want to go.

If you want to play hooky or already have the day off. We will be going down for a day of diving on the Spectre Dive Boat. Fridaybthe 4th. Our staff will be there training but we are always of assistance of getting you comfortable with the boat and ready for questions. Give us a call and take advantage of El Nino temps. The East Santa Barbara buoy is reading 72.7 degrees. Give us a call to book and save the online booking fee.

We ended up having a handful of divers show up for the social dive. Conditions were good with mild current an 12 feet of vis. Those that showed up had a great time. Please if you sign up for this free event plan ahead so that we can staff appropriately. This has happened in the past where we had so many no shows and a few times where we would have liked another staff. Help keep them free and help keep them going.

Night dive Tuesday the 25th.
Today is the last day to sign up for the night dive social. We need a few more for that to happen. The training is a for sure going if you want that option. Call in. Must have Adveanced or night dive experience. 805-544-DIVE

Fun day with the compass. We did some dry land stuff followed by out and backs, squares, rectangles and more. It's sounds easier than it is to count underwater.
Dive two was search and recovery. Most everyone hit thier mark today. Visibilty was pretty good until we stirred it up. Mild currents and warm conditions right now. Night dive training Tuesday and if we get some people who want to do a social dive and tou have night dive experience we will have a Divemaster providing surface support. Need a minimum number of divers for the social part. Training has room for 2 more.
