Cal Poly Distance Club

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's Official Cross Country & Track Club Before the Cal Poly Distance Club, there was no competitive cross country club.

The Cal Poly Distance Club started with a small group of dedicated runners who were successful high school distance athletes and wanted to continue at the collegiate level. Our mission for the Cal Poly Distance Club is to offer enjoyable running for everybody on campus. Our team has no cuts, no standards, and no limit to our roster size. We also greatly encourage beginning and new runners to come

out and try the sport. If you are a dedicated athlete, and wish to progress into college-level running, we offer that as well. Our top competitive athletes train everyday, and year-round. No matter what ability level, current endurance, or time commitment, we welcome any, and every runner at Cal Poly to join! We meet at the track weekdays at 4:10pm to go for a run or do a workout. Show up and check it out!

OUR ANNUAL PIZZA RUN IS BACK!

Run a 5K and get some pizza on Sunday March 8th, starting at 10:00am. Arrive at 9:00am for check in. Use the link in our bio to register for the race!

- Men’s squad placed 1st

- 45 club members raced 🎉

UCSB GAUCHO TWILIGHT RECAP:

- CPDC men’s team placed 3rd!!!
- We had 10 athletes race race on the first Friday of the quarter
- Men’s MVP: Tuner Hayes (26:35.6 - 8k)
