We’re proud to officially welcome Jose “Cocho” Retiz to the Capo FC family!
A former professional player with the LA Galaxy, Coach Cocho brings elite-level experience, deep local roots, and a true passion for player development to our club.
His soccer journey began at Saddleback High School (1994–1998), where he established himself as a standout player before continuing his career at Santa Ana College (1998–1999). After his playing career, Cocho transitioned seamlessly into coaching—mentoring and developing the next generation of athletes.
Coaching Experience:
Assistant Coach at Saddleback High School (2005–2010)
Assistant Coach at Santa Ana College (2011–2012)
Assistant Coach at Legends FC (2018–2024)
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Cocho has helped lead teams and players to success both on and off the field. His leadership, experience at the professional level, and commitment to developing strong character in his athletes make him an incredible addition to our staff.

Capo FC is holding OPEN tryouts for our NISA Professional Soccer Team ⚽🔥
Selected players will compete in the 2026 NISA Spring League and Fall professional season in the National Independent Soccer Association — a U.S. Soccer–sanctioned Division III professional league founded in 2017.
This is your opportunity to earn a spot on our professional roster and compete for FIFA- and U.S. Soccer–recognized professional contracts.
At Capo FC, our mission is to provide players in our community with a true pathway to the professional level — creating a platform to showcase talent and gain exposure at the highest levels of the game.
