Vision Martial Arts of Almaden

Vision Martial Arts of Almaden Vision Martial Arts is a studio focused on the development of its students based on the four states of health: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual.

Through classes geared for men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes, our school itself has become a community of learning and growth. We'd love nothing more than for you to become a part of it. That way you too can enrich your life, learn self-defense, and get in great shape too. Together, these three elements lead to a happier, healthier life. After all, for thousands of years, martial arts ha

s been a tool for inner-growth and development. The hard work and patience required to perfect each moves builds discipline, focus and determination. And the increased energy that comes with getting in good physical shape gives you a boost to bring even more fulfilling activities into your life. The desire to advance through the ranks develops goal setting and ambition. The rush of passing tests, and seeing how far you've come builds confidence and pride. But it doesn't stop there. You also learn self-defense to keep yourself and your loved ones safe and sound. And while you may never have to use these skills in a real-life situation - just knowing that you CAN protect yourself will give you peace of mind. In fact, the confidence you'll exude is enough to diffuse most situations before they ever arise. After all, attackers like to focus in on weak individuals. When you emit strength, confidence and pride - it's enough to keep most of them at bay. Helping you succeed in martial arts is the only goal of our San Jose program. Everyone here - each of our martial arts instructors - is passionate about helping you succeed, have fun, and enjoy the time you spend here. So come on by and try out the program that's best-suited for you. You can learn more about the classes our San Jose school offers, and call us to register for the one that's right for you. If you live in the following towns of Almaden, Cambrian or Willow Glen then you are close enough to come train with us!

Be Ready: Anything Can Be a Weapon 🛠️🛡️

4️⃣ Tip: ARM yourself wisely. Kevin explains that any object—a squeegee, a flashlight, keys—can give you an edge, if you’re ready to use it. The key? Train your mindset so you don’t freeze. Ready to turn your world into a safe zone? 💥🥋

Your Best Move? Avoid the Situation 🚪🏃‍♂️

3️⃣ Tip: AVOID trouble before it starts. Kevin teaches quick scans of exits, escape routes, and de‑escalation through talking or walking away. Avoidance is one of the smartest forms of self‑defense. Where’s your nearest exit right now? 🥋🚨

Stay Alert, Not Just On Your Phone 📱⚠️

2️⃣ Tip: Replace “head‑down” scrolling with being ALERT. Kevin says meditation, deep breathing, and tuning into your body’s warning signals help you spot danger early. Less phone, more presence = more safety. 🧠💪

Be Aware of Your Environment 🚷👀

1️⃣ Tip: Stay AWARE of where you are. Kevin from Vision Martial Arts explains that being in a busy grocery store is safer than a dark alley at night. Teach your family to choose safer spaces and avoid high‑risk areas from the start. 🥋✨

Control Your Reaction, Not Everyone Else 🧘‍♂️✊

Focus on what YOU can control, not what you can’t.
Blaming teachers, friends, or neighbors only limits growth - your child can choose how they respond.

That’s real responsibility.

How will they respond today? 🥋💥

Respect Your Stuff, Respect Yourself 🧸🧹

Teach your child to take care of their possessions. Put away toys, keep their room tidy, help with chores.
Having pride in their things builds responsibility and respect.

What can they clean or organize today? 🥋✨

When You Say It, You Do It 🗣️✅

Hold your child accountable to their WORDS. If they say they’ll do homework, clean, or help around the house - make it happen.

“I said it, I follow through on it” builds trust and responsibility.
