A fighter on and off the mat 💪
In judo, we learn that true strength isn’t measured by wins and losses, but by the courage to keep getting back up. At 14 years old, Dylan has shown us what real fighting spirit looks like—both on and off the mat. As he continues his battle against brain cancer, we stand beside him and his family with love and support 🥋❤️

A message from Dylan’s family:
Hi Judo Family,
Many of you know my brother, Dylan. He grew up around the judo community, attending practices and competitions, and recently returned to training at Sekai Judo Club. In January, Dylan was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Since then, he has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy and, last week, a 17-hour surgery to remove the tumor.
While the surgery was successful, Dylan’s recovery journey is just beginning. He continues to require close monitoring in the PICU as his brain continues to heal. As our family remains by his side during this critical time, we are facing significant unexpected expenses related to lodging, transportation, meals, and time away from work.
If you are able to help, any contribution would be deeply appreciated. If not, sharing his story and keeping Dylan in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.
Thank you for the love, support, and encouragement you have already shown our family. We are grateful to be part of such a caring community.
With aloha,Sensei Destinee ❤️🥋
