Northern California Artistic (Synchronized) Swim team promoting inclusion for Athletes w/disabilities. in 2015. The 2026 season includes 10 AWD swimmers.

We are the FIRST exclusive Artistic Swim Team for athletes with disabilities (AWD) in the USA, est. Welcome to our Fb page! Northern California (South Bay-San Jose) Artistic (synchronized) Swim club developed primarily to serve athletes ages 7 and up with various disabilities (Physical & Intellectual). This club is the first to offer 'adapted artistic swimming' in the United States for people with disabilities! We also offer novice/intermediate training for all abilities including NON-disabled ages 6 to 20yrs old. We are a 'host' team for the non-profit, "Artistic Swimming for Athletes with Disabilities" Organization (Artistic Swim AWD), based in San Jose, California. This is an Advocacy group to assist swimmers with disabilities in transition to artistic swimming and to advocate for the sport as a future Paralympic Sport. They also do global advocacy and travel all over the World to help with setting up programs for AWD (athletes with disabilities) in artistic swimming. Bay Area Synchro, forges its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with ages 7 and older, any identity, and any level of swimmer. We have recreational/novice, intermediate, age group training for all abilities, unique needs, and non-disabled. Bay Area Synchro is an inclusive club for everyone! Our coaches are all experienced swimmers and artistic swimmers. We are a member of the USA Artistic Swimming Federation (USAAS). Our coaches range in age and we have 'Jr. Coaches' who assist our lead coaches and learn how to work and train with swimmers of all abilities. If you are an advanced swimmer or coach who needs a great team OR a recreational, entry-level novice, or experienced swimmer who wishes to transition to a great team, please send us a message. We consider ourselves a small 'boutique' team where we catered to individual needs and focus on each swimmer's ability and long-term athlete development. We are coach-driven and treat each swimmer as if they were our own child and family member. Co-hosted another successful California State Games with Cypress Swim Club. Great swims by Apurva, Hima and Rachel who earned two golds and a bronze medal and the masters trio by Unsyncables of La Mirada. Congrats to Rachel on her artistic swimming Athlete of the Year award

Thanks to Pacific Artistic Swimming for hosting West Zones. We saw huge improvements of more than 9 points each for Hima and Samaira, more than 4 points for Adriana, more than 5 points for Natalie (and her first score above 60!) and a 1.7 point increase for Rachel. We can’t wait to see what they do in 8 weeks when we head to Coral Springs, FL!

We closed out the meet with our Tier 5 and 6 athletes. Natalie moved up to Tier 5, joining Adriana and swimmers from .swim.club and and Rachel continues in Tier 6. All three have new solos, with Natalie swimming to one of the newest Wicked songs while Adriana swims to Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” and Rachel swims to ‘s “The Click.”
