Point race #2 is in the books
While this chapter didn't go the way we had hoped
It was still a good weekend spent with friends and having fun
Andi even made a few tnt hits
Kaci and Andi both had .017 lights ( )
Shane made it to the final 3!!
You can lose a shoe, you can lose on a red light
But as long as you keep trying and having fun you are still winning
Shane and Kaci will be back at it next Saturday at Midstate Dragway

Never once headed to a track has the GPS said "turn right after Walgreens"
Pulled in late Friday night to Wabash Dragway in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Kaci pulled out 2 back to back awesome lights and got the bye for first round but due to an even amount of cars she carried the bye all the way until they were down to 8 cars and she lost.
We may not have had the outcome we were hoping for
But it was still neat to experience a new track, new racers, and just a different environment.
Fingers crossed the rain moves around us and we can try again tomorrow

Spring Nostalgia 2026
The driver was doing a lot of driving this weekend
Kaci pulled some tough competition but kept a level head and stayed focused all day long

Ran the first twin ten of the year today
Kaci went rounds and dad fought the car all day
Made some pretty major adjustments after 1st round but the fight continued
Kaci had some good lights and stayed focus
She got a bye into the finals
And in the finals the car got it's life figured out but unfortunately went too fast
2nd place finish is still great tho!

And we are back at it!!
Race season 2026 has officially started

We've been a little m.i.a. this winter ..the cars were put on the back burner and we tuned into wrestling
Kaci had an amazing year
As a freshman
She wrestled the whole season until mid January on the boys varsity team in the 106lb spot, where she placed at multiple tournaments and carried a winning record..Mid January she switched to the girls team
Where she placed at a tournament
Took 3rd at IHSA regionals
Got to regionals and fought but unfortunately didn't advance
She got back on the mat and put in even more work before she stepped into IWCOA series
She is the sectional champion for girls 100lbs
She placed 8th at girls state at 100lbs
She held a winning record on the girls team too
She recieved recognition at the school board meeting
And recieved freshman of the year on her highschool wrestling team
She accomplished all of the above while also holding a 3.95 GPA

*fun fact: where we live girls wrestling is always considered open tournaments because it's freshman-senior all classes (1a, 2a, 3a) that wrestle each other*

This summer we will be seeing both the track and the mat
So stay tuned!

Not the way we wanted to end the season
The car ran great, the driver just got a little antsy
There were 29 cars to start, made it to the 4th round before ending the day.
