House of Inanna House of Inanna dances [mostly FCBD®Style] for the Joy of it, combining both the Sacred and Silly.

(FCBD®Style was formerly known as ATS® or American Tribal Style. The name has been changed out of respect for Indigenous People, and honors the creator of the dance style and her original dance troupe.)

So excited to be performing NEXT WEEKEND at Gilded Raqs, the fun two-day festival hosted by The Belly Dance Guild in San Jose (just up the street from Stacy's house!).

See us on Saturday, September 12 in the Badia Auditorium in the San Jose Scottish Rite Center, in the 2-3pm time period (we think it will be around 2:43 but you always have to give show business some leeway!).

Fall/Late summer performances for House of Inanna!

September 12-13 - Gilded Raqs in San José. Many of us are contributing to creating this event, and we're really looking forward to our performances there as well as the whole event itself! We're doing a House of Inanna performance, and are involved in the FatChance All Dance, and Petra is also dancing with Pepper's Ghawazee and the Shimmy Mob!

October 3 - Dance Art Festival in Berkeley - combining dance with poetry!

October 18 - Clockwork Alchemy in Redwood City. Customizing our dance to fit in with our area's amazing steampunk festival is always a pleasure!

October 24-25 - All Hallows Fantasy Fair in Calaveras. Going to get our witchy on!

November 21 - Gratitude - A Belly Dance Show at the Crêpe Place in Santa Cruz, hosted by Helene and The Belly Dance Guild

Here’s Petra from last weekend with Pepper Alexandria’s Ghawazee troupe at the Assistance League Theatre in Hollywood. “We performed, and accepted an award on behalf of Pepper, acknowledging both her long-running Carnival of Stars Festival, as well as her work to ensure that the dance of the Banat Mazin, a 350+ year-old dance and music tradition, lives on”

Petra is happy to be part of this antecessor to belly dance in general, and some of the FatChance moves in particular!

Join us all of the other Mondays, 7-8pm, at Roundhill Studios in San Jose, and by Zoom on Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 pm (California time) for FCBDstyle dance classes. Saturday classes in Los Gatos will resume in mid September, too!
